TIMBER CREEK HOTEL / FOGARTY'S STORE / CIRCLE F CARAVAN PARK reviews
59Busy place with all the tourists and grey nomads, expensive but so is everything out this way due to cost to freight. Cold beer, decent meals, can't ask for much more.
Probably the worst pub in the territory, no joke. Some of the staff are very angry. Everything is way over priced including the caravan park which stinks like actual. Please do yourself a favour and plant the go pedal as soon as you get out of town.
Lovely park, well maintained, amenities clean.staff very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the grounds staff.congrats.
The caravan park is excellent but if you want a bit of character and enjoyment on a Friday night, the Hotel is not the place to go. You feel like they are closing and when last drinks with 6 in the bar are called at 8.30 pm well.say no more. Lacks character, music and atmosphere for a remote country bar.
Staff was brilliant. Was there 3 days with work. Food was good. Katie was a godsend, could not do enough for you. Tuesday arvo they do a free crocodile and kite feed.
The Timber Creek Hotel Caravan Park was our choice for an east-west overnight stopover; no bookings are taken and it can get get busy from about 2 PM onwards. We arrived around midday and it was rather quiet and stayed that way.
The older amenities are fine; the newer amenities are a treat! Most sites have grass. Drive throughs are dirt or crushed gravel. The pool is clean and refreshing.
We had dinner in the small restaurant. Friendly, hard working staff served enjoyable meals and drinks.
The various public posters outside revealed a few local spots worth seeing, including a ridgeline vista, river access tracks and an unused bridge, so two nights would be helpful for a 'look about' day. We'll be heading back this way in a few weeks and plan to do this then.
Great food (full time chef on site), friendly, helpful staff. Great accommodation at very reasonable prices. You ain't in the suburbs now.
Crocs get fed out the back a few times a week - great for the kids to watch. Secure, chilled, friendly, and set amongst beautiful country.
Worked there for quite a while.
Really genuine people with genuine intensions.
Prices are a bit steep But you have to get the stuff somehow and transport these days is not cheap. Great caravan park at the back worth the money.
Lovely spot. Easy check in and excellent facilities. Amenities block looks new; very clean and well maintained. A bit more expensive than the place next door I’m told at $30/d for unpowered camper trailer site for 2 people but perhaps worth it.
Really well looked after park nice sites with grass and shade. The amenities are pretty basic but do the job. A few bats but they weren't near where I parked the crocks were an added bonus. Its a shame the first couple of nights were spoilt by a group who partied late into the night on the Saturday keeping most people awake (luckily I had ear plugs) and got up at 5.30 for the dawn service waking everyone up again as they took off on their noisy motorbikes.
Great place to pitch a tent for a few nights. Shower/Toilet block is exceptionally clean & spacious.
Great service by bar & dining service staff. Good food & cold drinks. Good place to stop & explore surrounds including fishing for barra.
Great stay such friendly staff and excellent amenities. We always stop here on our travels west.
A beautiful shady park with beautiful sites and a great pool the stag were very nice to deal with
Overpriced to the Max! Take your own food and drinks or this place will break them bank. Apartment floors hadn't been swept since God knows, and at least turn the refrigerator on when you have a paid and confirmed booking.
Very good service and good food.great shade trees, hawk and croc feeding (seasonal)
love the steak burger with the lot
Exactly one year ago I was bitten here on the Camping Site by a treesnake.
Thank you all for your help, especially our neighbours on the campingsite for helping my wife with our 2 small children and the campervan.
All the best from Germany,
Arne
Thank you so much! We got into the town at almost 9pm and we honestly didn’t expect anything or anyone to be open! Thankfully the lovely ladies on reception answered and we where able to get a room even though they where already closed and about to go home! Really welcoming, nice cosy rooms with air con and tv for a good price as well. Thank you!
