TIMBER CREEK HOTEL / FOGARTY'S STORE / CIRCLE F CARAVAN PARK reviews
59 For one night in transit.
Cabin corresponds to the offer on the homepage. Everything was clean and we slept well.
Very disappointing that for a double room cost of $160 a night you get 2 paper cups, different sizes and plastic cups for water. At that price I would expect a proper coffee mug and glass for water. No water jug in the fridge. Couldn't watch TV as the TV was around the corner from the bed. Don't think I could recommend this to anyone.
Public toilet was disgustingly dirty and couldn't be used after we checked out.
Great place to stop on your way through. The place is pet friendly although it is highly recommended that you keep your pooches on a leash and don't let them near the creek behind the rest stop as it has fresh water Crocs and they've just recently taken 2 unrestrained dogs.
Keep your van well out from under the trees as they are absolutely full of Bats. They do have a car / van wash off area if you happen to be popped on through the night.
It has a little restaurant next to the pub which served good meals at reasonable prices. Fuel prices were reasonable for where they are. Staff was friendly.
Good food and good amenities, I just want the naysayers to shut up and recognise the benefit of having this place where it is, and nature was here first.
The accommodation was basic but adequate. Giving the full five stars for the freshwater croc and whistling kite feeding. The kites are especially cool. The freshies weren't overly hungry for to beat numbers of fruit bats which have recently moved into the tree overlying the creek and generously fall into the water at regular intervals. The croc numbers are down since the floods washed most of them downstream too.
We enjoyed the night there, loved the bats, nice watching them all take off, we were not worried about them, staff were friendly, we will come again
Great place to stop. CARAVN hook ups are great. And everything is wonderful.creek and lots of fun for the kids.
Actually I slept in the truck parked out in the truck bay. But the Hotel looks nice and shaded for fellow travellers. Store out the front has everything you could need also. Cheers
Nice little stop over for the night or 2. Its a caravan park connected to a petrol/roadhouse/bar. Plenty of room for big vans and you can stay connected. There is power and water and you need drivers licence to book in. The toilets were clean, but a bit old and shabby, as long as there is toilet paper I don't care. There is feeding of the local fresh water crocodiles and kites, twice a week. There is a large boab tree and lovely green grass to sit on.
Loved the place.
Green shady sites, super friendly owners and loved the pool in particular.
Thanks Callum and Sarah.
Great spot to stop and have a break. Make your own coffee in large cool area. Frieldly and helpful staff. Camping area very basic.
Busy place with all the tourists and grey nomads, expensive but so is everything out this way due to cost to freight. Cold beer, decent meals, can't ask for much more.
A fantastic stopover between Katherine and Kununurra. Staff were lovely and friendly and the hotel, park and grounds are well maintained. We stayed in a hotel room and it was clean and tidy, perfect for one night. Food at dinner was delicious - excellent steaks and good kids meals. Great playground for the kids and a small swimming pool too. Would definitely stop here again.
Amazing camp ground! They even put a show on at 5pm with crocodile and bird feeding! Large trees with heaps of shade. Very friendly and efficient staff at reception and even a parking help staff! Thank you so much for beeing so great and making our stay wonderful!
Great place to stop for a bite to eat and stretch the legs. Amenities and services are good and staff are friendly.
Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant had decently priced food, it's not fancy but it tastes good and will fill you up. The store has a few grocery and miscellaneous items. Make sure to catch the freshwater crocodile and kite feeding. There is also a huge colony of fruit bats along the river which is super entertaining to watch.
Nice Hotel near Victoria River. Breakfast excellent. Dinner menu is quite extensive. Rooms are okay. Good for birdwatching. Gouldian, Masked, Crimson and Long Tail finches found here.
What a fantastic little spot, we loved it. Highly recommend it to all, don't forget to check out the wild life. Awesome!
This is really a larger roadhouse with a supermarket. 2 fuel stations one of which is self serve without anyone in attendance.credit card only.
