Adequate. Basic.
The room had a foul odor that was fixed (after having to ask reception twice) by a friendly maintenance team.
The configuration of the room (separate shower, toilet and sink areas) worked well for us.
The aircon/heater was on the loud side, but worked well.
The location within the resort was great - very central and close to everything you could possibly need.
The reception desk was attended by a few different people, most of which were friendly and helpful. If you are treated poorly or dismissed by one particular employee, ask someone else - we found one woman to be less than accommodating, but everyone else was great!

The rooms were neat and presentable, without being over the top. The service was good, and the location was amazing. From the nearby dunes, Uluru was clearly seen. You are at the centre this area has to offer. A truly magical location.

Stay was cancelled due to COVID in mid-2021.

Have been chasing a refund owed me ever since - 6 months ago - with NO results. Appalling customer service and absolutely no progress. Obstructive and unhelpful. Reported to ACCC.

Do not recommend this venue given their attitude to customer service. Lower your expectations.

In the very well organized hospitality construct of the Ururu national park this hotel offers an excellent choice at a good quality/value ratio
Clean and modern rooms in a desert set up with all conveniences
Nearby access to all sorts of restaurants and shops

Very unusual rooms with no windows, handbasin in the main room but clean and comfortable.
No areas to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. The pool area was ok but not enough shade.

Pleasant welcoming room, especially if you’ve been camping did some days before hand. Comfortable bed and fluffy towels, though shower is quite small. Customer service was variable, front desk staff weren’t welcoming or helpful.

Very comfy place. Great air conditioner. It was a good experience. Well worth the journey to Central Australia to see the sites

This hotel is weird. A revamp of something simpler. My room had no windows that I could look out of. Just one wall painted blue so if I had drunk a bottle of Scotch I could mistake it for the sky. The shower and loo are fine and it clean. It has a safe and a fridge plus coffee and tea. Otherwise there is a swimming pool and courtyard for lounging around in. They also have a complementary laundry for guests which is a plus. There are books you can borrow or exchange in the laundry. Soap can be had at reception. It does not have a restaurant, nor a bar. So make sure your room has windows when booking if you are claustrophobic.

Great location, right in the centre of Ayers rock resort. Excellent facilities for the price range, and super friendly, helpful staff. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble. This isn't a 5-star hotel, so please don't come expecting the Hilton. This is budget accommodation that's done very well. As long as you arrive with that image in your head, you're going to be impressed with this place.

I spent only 1 night here. It's literally next door 2 the Town Centre. Great location. The room was basic, roomy, clean. The staff were friendly. There was a fridge & comfortable shower. We needed 2 go up a flight of stairs 2 get 2 the room. The weatber was 14C, so I didn't use the outdoor unheated pool.

Great rooms comfy beds and lovely cold pool. Close to pick ups for trips, shops and supermarket. Reasonably priced would highly recommend.

Ok, so it doesn't have all the frills of the larger 4 or 5 star hotels but this gem of place caters to the adventure seekers who enjoy creature comforts. Rooms are standard: Double Bed (or 2 singles if requested), mini fridge, open bath plan, sofa, tv, closet etc. Rooms are not equipped with microwave ovens, so no reheating or cooking in rooms. Bath basin is in sleeping space. Commode and Shower (room enough for 2) are separate and have frosted glass and windows for privacy. Staff are great and can schedule some tours. Or you can walk (5 minutes or less) to Town Square and be at the center of everything Ayers Rock Resort has to offer. Most tour operators pick up from a location within 5 walk of the area. Airport Shuttle Transfers Pick-up and Drop-off at hotel entrance. Resort Shuttle Bus pickup at nearby Sails in the dessert (located 5 min walk away). Housekeeping was on point and tucked the bed sheets with military tightness. On-site laundry facility takes heck a long to cycle through. All you have to do is pay for soap, machines are free. Overall, I liked it. Great proximity to town sqaure (eateries, IGA Supermarket, Resort activities, Tour Desk, Shuttle stop, etc). The point for my group was to experience the magic of the desert, Uluru & Kata Tjuta.

Flawless customer service today by the young man on front desk. Thank you - you made our afternoon so much easier. You deserve a promotion for your excellence in representing the hotel and resort. It was so good to have someone help us out while travelling with a baby. I wish our experience when we came to the Lost Camel was like that everywhere. Thank you kindly.

This place started as a 3 star for me as it has a basic comfortable and hot shower but kept dropping due to all the hair I found in both shower and bathroom. They are not really cleaned well. By second day, tissue box was empty and no toilet paper roll for the third morning. Toiletries don't get replaced and even the half used one disappeared! As everyone else has said, the shower and wash area are very strange and no window at all in the room.

Worst service of any hotel I have ever stayed at. Arrived no towels in the room. Made mutiple attempts to call and get some delivered, ended up having to go and get some. The rooms were not made up each day we were here and staff seemed to act like that was normal. Worst service ever. Highly unprofessional staff and management. Stay anywhere else but here if you want value for money.

Room was small and cramped, door was broken and didn't lock, they didn't even have any other door locks on the door so it was just open, staff was rude. Rooms didn't have a microwave and the fridge froze any food in it solid. Room was less like a hotel room and more like a cave. There were few windows. You're better off camping.
