The Jetty Restaurant reviews
72This used to be my favourite restaurant but won't be back. While the service was fine everything in the buffet was cold. I usually keep going back for the squid but even when they topped it up it was still cold. Very disappointing.
Well worth the visit, great selection of seafood, salads and varieties such as steak, chicken skewers and duck. Nice selection of sweets to finish off. Definitely give it a go.
100%fresh oysters night. Hot food was great, love their chicken skewers n pepper squid. Spot on the beef salad, grill rare beef was cooked perfectly.
Great choices for food, all you can eat buffet style meal. Seating was a little cramped after a storm arrived and everyone eating outside had to come inside. Beautiful views while eating dinner. Staff friendly and quick to remove used plates and cups from tables. Would recommend going to an early-ish dinner, very popular venue. Adults were $39.
This place has really Gone down hill. It user to be a place your5 look out of place if you weren't wearing a collared shirt. Now it's like they just try to cram as many people in as possible, food is sub par, noisy as hell, hot, and the bathrooms don't look like they've been cleaned in a week
2nd time returning to this restaurant from Melbourne. Loved the food, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere is divine. Awsome all you can eat, and the drinks are a great price too. Highly recommend
Definitely not value for money for a buffet experience. The food didn't look appetising and tasted sub-par. Food options were limited too. Apart from the outdoor seating, nothing stood out.
Buffet menu has a decent variety, good service although some of the food is pretty average. Can't complain with the price though. Overall a good experience!
Nice location, reasonable prices large variety of foods and drink. Booked outside on the deck, pleasant romantic.
I went there last night for the first time and right now am suffering from a very bad food poisoning. Most of the meals had an awful taste and too cold for one's consumption. Will not recommend at all as it's not worth the price.
We had the most amazing dinner here. The food was fresh and delicious. There were also a lot of gluten free options.
The waiter/bar tender named Enoch was absolutely lovely, he was friendly, extremely helpful and made THE BEST cocktails!
Definitely recommend!
Compared to last year disappointed poor selection food asked to leave 9pm all finished big surege charge on drinks rate last year 100% will not be back
I think their similar restaurant down in Cullen bay is better and I don't remember it being this expensive per person but it was damn good. Variety was good and staff are friendly and attentive. We had a pretty good night and heaps of people were there so it made for a really nice evening. Only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is price, I'm not a big eatter so that makes it not so cost effective but if you are.go nuts! That said, would absolutely go again!
The food was not that great. I was disappointed with the chilli crabs, no meat inside n it was dried up meat.
This place is off the hook and I always walk out feeling completely satisfied. What's that? You don't like seafood? Have a cooked-to-order steak, a choice of about 3 salads, and some rice, curry or pasta instead, mate. Seriously I dunno how this place makes money 'cause when I know I'm going there for dinner I never eat in the day so I can stuff myself senseless on oysters, prawns, mussels, and cheesecake. This time I also got some carbonara, duck, chilli swimmer crabs, a bowl of sweet corn soup, and some roast pork - and there was other stuff I didn't have room for either like bread rolls and watermelon but I can get that at home I guess. But we can't get a chocolate fountain at home can we kids? Nah! Good thing this outfit's got one then eh.
As you can imagine this place packs out and when it's chokkas it's pretty hectic at the serveries so I always try to make reservations for a time before 7pm. The carpark fills up pretty early on too so you might end up parking further along but maybe a bit of a walk isnt such a bad idea after the stuffing you're about to subject yourself to.
Forgot to mention the price - it's low; and the kids get in for less than the full rate, amazing.
Staff - awesome; super attentive, courteous, and always working hard. It's busy as, no surprises there.
There's probably some wicked scenery as well but I would have to get my snout out of the trough to appreciate it and like the bread rolls and watermelon, looking out the window is something I can do at home. Seen a heap of Gluten Free options and reasonably sure there were vegetarian dishes as well for example Rice and Lemon Wedges so everyone's got something to enjoy.
Go on, be good to yourself for once. You've earnt this.
A great spot on the Wharf The Jetty is a Buffet Style restaurant and is very popular with locals and tourist so can get very busy. With indoor and outdoor tables to choose from all taking in water views. There were plenty of Hot And fresh dishes to choose from and food was being constantly refreshed. The staff were attentive and helpful. It was value for money if you like a buffet. We were at the earliest seating and sat on the deck which was great but it was getting very busy as we were leaving and inside was looking a little hectic
It is a great place. Buffet style food. Especially if you're into sea food, but cater for others too. Can get busy so better book a table.love it
We were there last night and discovered that The Jetty and Seafood on Cullem are owned by the same company. What a big disappointment this place was. The food was cold and tastless very unpleasant to look at. The staff was very blase as if they didn't want to be there. The only good thing was the water front view.
We have only given The Jetty a half a star for the above.
If you are able you should try Seafood on Cullem as the atmosphere food and staff are awesome. Would not recommend The Jetty
.
Very highly recommended, a must to visit this place for dinner. The food is amazing. Wow. Great service and great price. Will come here everytime I come to Darwin.
Really good food, great selection, didn't have 1 thing that wasn't fresh n tasty, will definitely be back
