The Darwin Military Museum reviews
50A great range of memorabilia. A bit mixed up and all over the place but fine if you don't care what weapons were used in what Wars. Definitely a good place to go and see about the bombing of Darwin.
Well lay out Museum, with a lot of history from all Australian conflicts not just the bombing of Darwin
Do not have large display, but is a nice place to visit. If you non NT seniors, you have to pay an extra $ 5, it's not a good hospitality toward the other State's seniors.
Fantastuc amount of information & history on display.one of my favourite military museums in 5yrs of travel
Not happy wouldn’t recommend it you have to pay the war memorial in Canberra is free and ten times the size
Totally fascinated with all the Vietnam history. So sad for so many of those young men - some of whom have never revovered.
An absolute must see.
A fantastic museum that covers military history, particularly World War II and the bombings of Darwin. Allow a couple of hours to wander around. The Bombing of Darwin video is definite must see. Goes for about 8 minutes. Very moving.
Personally I'm not into war museums, I find them upsetting. This is a big part of our Australian history and this museum is well set out
Lots to see here. Interesting war memorabilia. Views out across the water.
Larger than expected. Lots of buildings tanks artillery guns, all sorts.
Fascinating history about the Darwin bombing and how the RAA, RAN and other defensive forces stood by to protect against the enemies. Definitely worth your time.
What an incredible array of military artefacts. We were extraordinarily impressed by how many military artefacts there were to view and interact with. Definitely one of the most diverse rifle, gun and army automobile collections we've ever seen. This is a must see tourist attraction. Can easily spend some hours here.
Great display of Australian military involvement including a weapons display, excellent bombing of Darwin movie and vehicle display.
A fantastic collection of everything military.
A great view into the history of Darwin and Australia's defence forces. A must see but allow plenty of time because there's so much to see.
I really love history. So if you're a military history buff this is a cool little stop off to go and explore just make sure you've got enough water etc. It can get hot out there.
Really interesting military museum. The aircon in the inside area was faulty and about 15 degrees so we had to cut that part short. Staff were friendly helpful and apologetic for the aircon.
Was blown away! The outside displays just go on forever! Lots of shade around the outside areas as well. Plan for at least 2 to 3 hours.
Nice day out for the family, the museum is huge and houses thousands of interesting artifacts including vehicles, uniforms and documents. You will need to set aside a few hours just to take it all in.
A great display on the Darwin Bombing as well a short film is on display at the moment.
Fantastic displays, very well done. Much more intimate than the National War Museum in Canberra. Allow about 3 hours to take it all in. Well worth $20.
This place is huge! So many artifacts ranging from uniforms to vehicles. A great segment on the Darwin Bombing. Definetly worth a look.
