Temple Bar Caravan Park reviews
40Great little cp, lovely grassy sites, very quiet. Trish is very accommodating and helpful, and the backdrop is amazing. Highly recommend
My experience was quite different but that might be because we had got offside with the owners shortly after arrival. I will mention it because often people are only pleasant and emotionally mature when there is no cause for disagreement, but upon reaching that point, the behaviour may easily change.
I can accept blame for having misunderstood that there were no fires and that I had indeed used a charcoal grill to start cooking dinner. This was after finding the office unoccupied and the phone contact left unanswered when we arrived at 6. It was a genuine mistake.
The owners showed up in what I would describe as an untenable emotional state. Their behaviours included threatening to shoot our dogs, which they had spooked by lamping them with a spotlight, threatening to call the police (on what grounds, I cannot say), and to insult us for where we had come from. It wasn’t just rude and unprofessional, it bordered on psychotic.
The caravan park itself was shabby. The visitor sites were like parking spots crammed next to one another and separated by steel lamp posts laid across the sites, so privacy was nonexistent. The periphery of the place was reminiscent of a shantytown with semi permanent structures festooned with shade cloth and pot plants.
We didn’t stay, and somehow I am relieved about it.
We went there for only two nights ended up staying for more than 2weeks in that amazing place. Very quite, cheap, amazing friendly stuff, safe and very clean. 100% recommended to stay in Alice springs.
Stayed two nights in this shady oasis just outside Alice Springs. What a serene experience watching the surrounding mountains glow orange as the sun set, right from the doorstep of our motorhome.
Trish was amazing, she heard we were having tyre trouble and went out of her way to find someone to bring tools down to help us change it. Saved us hundreds of dollars in call out fees for a mechanic and wouldn't accept anything by way of thanks.
Couldn't recommend more highly
Beautifully place, low cost, nice, friendly host, clean and tidy, hot shower, laundry, but not even a sink for washing dishes.
We absolutely loved our stay at Temple Bar - we initially planned for just 3 nights but ended up staying a week! Trish was super friendly, showing us around and directing us into our spot, and she even gave us a refund at the end because we hadn’t used much power. The shower set up is a bit weird but generally the amenities were excellent. The location was also great. Would definitely stay again.
Freindly Caravan Park with exception to a permanent resident on the corner who placed signs around during our stay asking that pets do not "Poo or Pee on the grass". Exceptionally clean facilities with good size sights, with very friendly management far compensates the only negative
No shop, no pool, no kids, it's just great. Real out bush camp site and pets are welcome. Lots of kangaroos and Wallabies around at night. Best place in Alice!
Dog friendly. Very Peaceful. Amenities spotless. Owners give personal attention to detail - much more helpful about tourist info than the Information centre in town.
Highly recommend this park if you want peace and quiet away from the hustle n bustle
What a great park. Friendly staff and absolutely the most cleanest ammenitys. Such a beautiful area and only a short drive into town.
Great caravan park. Lovely atmosphere with gum tree lined creek. Pet friendly, quiet park close enough to town. Ammenities block is a bit outdated but spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water. Managers are very pleasant and easy going. No facilities for kids but we had kids with us and they made their own fun. Drive through caravan parks with grass and plenty of space. Have already recommended to family and friends
Very nice, peaceful caravan park. Amenities were toilets, showers and laundry - all very clean and nice hot showers. Lovely managers. Just need your own cooking and dishes gear.
Great place all round and would definitely go back!:)
Very quiet caravan park with well maintained clean amenities. Manager Trish, and park owners are very helpful and professional. There is a mix of powered and unpowered sites all of which are grassed. The water is bore water but good quality. Plenty of shade located between a creek and “hill”, lots of birds and wallabies. All the permanent residents are friendly. No playgrounds but lots of space for kids. We highly recommended this caravan park and will return
Great place to stay, very quiet with all drive through sites and grass. The only negative coment is that some of the trees are in awkward places for long caravans to get in and out with ease. The staff are very nice and helpful. The price is good and you pay for your power separately which is good. This is a highly recommended place to stay
Great place to stop into. Friendly staff and residents. Spotless amenities. Great waste recycling system.
What a gem. Large green grassy sites. Awesome owners. Far enough out but not too far. Only criticism is no pool but we knew that before we went.
Great little caravan park, a little out of town but close enough to everything, will go back there again
Beautiful, quiet spot with people and great prices - unpowered sites only, so no bright streetlights. Pics taken from my swag.
Lovely hidden campsite and amazing staff which will give you lots of information about the area! Really enjoyed the stay
This has gotta the Most Peaceful Caravan Park I have ever stayed at. Set on the bank of a dry creek bed surrounded by a natural bush setting with a beautiful mountain at the back.
Flocks of Galah's and Wallabies make this place their home.
It's only 15 min drive to Alice Springs CBD yet one feels a world away.
If you want somewhere that's Tranquil, Friendly and Reasonably Priced this is it.
I highly recommend Temple Bar Caravan Park
