Stokes Hill Wharf reviews
65Large selection of restaurants if that's what you call them with basically the same things at high prices. It's more a tourist thing. Crustaceans is awesome and always provides a great feed.
The view is amazing if you love the sea. Having your lunch or dinner with the breeze is just so relaxing. Lots of asian dishes to choose from. Fish and chips are great too.
Looking for good fish and chips, then it's the place to visit with a variety of food outlets and also a bar so you can kick back enjoy the view with a cold bevy and great meal.
Great food range, great harbour views. Only fans and open sides for ventilation, so you can feel the humidity in the main shed areas. Tourist facility is great, very informative and interactive. A great experience overall, and amazing in the dry.
The stokes hill wharf museum was a wonderful experience to see the bombing of Darwin and the flying doctors display well worth seeing.
Lovley atmosphere for casual dining. Food is fairly well priced. Be aware that some of the shops dont have eftpos facilities
Resonable options from Thai, indian, Chinese and fish and chips burgers and steak.
Beer and pre pacaged drinks available.
Relaxed setting and great views of Darwin.very nice walk to Darwin waterfront too. Parking a bit tricky on friday, Saturday evenings. A free shuttle service is available from waterfront to the wharf.
Food is good. But it's over priced and outside sitting is dangerous. Birds might poop into your food. Be careful off that. Amazing view though!
Wonderful sunrise views and a great place to fish and enjoy the lical catch close to the waterfront precinct.
Visited the permanent exhibitions for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the 'Bombing of Darwin in 1942. The virtual reality presentation get 10 out of 10
Great place to bring the family or mates. It is an NT classic to visit the wharf for fish and chips (if that's your flavour) and take in some of the best sunsets Aus has to offer. Parking can be limited coming into the weekend (Friday, Sat nights) but there is ample seating beside the water and in the upper levels. Good variety of food, drink and alcohol on offer.
Kims Fush and Chips, wow! Best ever, my favourite. Five and a half years between visits and still the best. Loved the new Bombing of Darwin with movies and virtual reality exhibition and the R. F. D. S.display.
Some of the food outlets are very expensive, and the quality is not good and you don't get much for your money, alcohol is a reasonable price.
Parking is a nightmare, not enough, have to get there by 1730 to get a park,
A main hub and stop off point for the Commonwealth Lighthouse Service tender vessel (s), in particular the MV Cape Don. The ship's second "home" away from home, Fremantle.
These days the old wharf is a great spot to spend some time at whilst in Darwin.
It's relatively close to the CBD and well worth the stroll to explore.
Some good food & drink venues as well. In a very relaxing environment.
Great place to chill out and have some food. The majority of the restaurants are of a food court style but great to relax and catch up with friends.
Good place for a meal with different varieties of food outlets. Seating undercover or exposed. If desired, admission fee for RFDS display & bombing of Darwin exhibit.
Great place with a number of eateries to choose from for casual dining. Lovely harbour views, on-site parking incl disabled. Licensed, small play area for kids.
You have to go here to go fishing I had success with a queen fish just with a hand line.good undercover shelter fresh running water at clean tables.love Darwin I will be back
Great place for meal with many outlets can be a little bit expensive though. Best part about Stokes is when you chuck a chip off the wharf massive schools of Batfish and Golden Trevally swarm all over it. Very fun to see.
