Rydges Palmerston - Darwin

Paid $5000 for a calander month for a room while waiting for a property settlement, and caring for my disabled mother. Treated terribly, security very lax, I will never stay at a Rydges again at any location.

Great location with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The hotel restaurant is quite good

BEST STEAKS I’VE EVER HAD. The hotel itself is very good, with everything you need in the room, great breakfast, good gym and pool. The restaurant is very good and the steaks are genuinely the best steaks I’ve ever had. I had 3 of the 4 on offer on 4 different nights and they’re incredible. Come here just for the steaks if nothing else.

Rooms are average sized. Ours was Kung room. Fridge tea coffee etc

Pool was ok pretty cold and too many yobs for me to swim on the days we were there.

Lovely motel, great staff. Didn't use pool this trip.but it is awesome. Fish and chips poolside were delicious.but way too big a serve.
My only complaint is you can't use PGR benefits because restaurant isn't theirs.
Location is ok.but I prefer to be in the city.

This place is conveniently located in Palmerston. It's walking distance to amenities for food and groceries (Coles).

The place is recently renovated. It looks and feels fresh. The staff was friendly, helpful and patient to check me in.

They have a carpark under the hotel and it's free at the time of my visit.

Love staying here, the customer service is really good and very friendly. Easy to negative around. Food is really good too.

Manager was rude.
Felt sorry for the staff they all seamed to have not much of an idea so I guess she was just fed up with them.
Food was way over priced for the quality. Very disappointed.

Have had many functions here. The location is not bad, the room is good with ample of seats and reasonable amenities and service. The food and drink is always disappointing. There are always something wrong with the food and drink service in the function room and the prices aren't cheap either.

But the food was not very good some over cooked and some just doesn't taste that good I have won national awards for my food i know the difference.not sure if I'm spoilt or not.but I would rate their food 4 out of 10 sorry and all the food and deserts that came to my room one mouthful the rest in the bin

Buffet breakfast is poor standard. The scrambled eggs are sometimes a weird soup made from powder. Today half the choices were empty and the one cook was off on a break. The fire alarm goes off often. The upholstery on the furniture in the rooms are stained, and smell like vomit. Apart from that, most of the staff are pleasant.

Love the Rydges beds! So comfy!

The swimming pool was also nice, underground parking secure. Will be back

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Dirty, noisy and rude staff.
As a travel agent, I would never book my clients here or any other Rydges. Neither the hotel nor head office took any responsibility for our very poor experience implying that we made it up. Very very poor. Save your money, stay elsewhere.
At no point did I request any free stuff, I just wanted to be heard.
No compensation was every requested or expected.

Beautiful, relaxing place. The meal, although a bit pricey, was delicious. Staff were fantastic. Highly recommend a visit here.

Clean tidy room. On site pool and restaurant. Great meals. Close to everything in town. 20 mins to Darwin CBD.

The facilities are modern, clean, comfortable etc.
I couldn’t walk past a staff member (from front reception to maintenance), without them stopping, smiling and saying hello…oh the restaurant, bar and pool are spot on.

Relaxed and comfortable. Great restaurant and pool. We stayed for a week while visiting family. Good size room with very small bathroom. Serviced daily. Breakfast was fine with all the usual things. Dinner featured great steaks. Pool was good, but a bit slippery on the concourse and not terribly kid friendly. Overall a great stay, the best in Palmerston and we will certainly stay again

Paid $170 for a king suite. Ended up with the disabled room on second floor. View? What view? The room overlooks a tin roof full of cigarette butts and various other questionable items.
Not even informed, or asked, if we were ok staying in this room.
Quite honestly, l would say to all disabled people thinking of booking there - steer well clear. You're obviously not thought of well enough to give you a half decent room.
Spend your money elsewhere.
