Mindil Beach Casino Resort reviews
63The only nice thing about it was looking over the water. The workers dressed very poorly, I asked for two meals to be cooked more as the meat was medium/rare. And still received medium/rare meat. After waiting 30 minutes. Will not be going back and I will not recommend it to anyone.
The view from the hotel is magnificent but the hotel itself is just a 4, rooms and hotel are tired need a reno especially the ensuite, very overpriced for what you get, not that impressed. Thought being connected to a casino they would make it a bit classier, even the casino needs a lot of work and new furnishings.
Beautiful lagoon pool access rooms, absolutely the place to be during locked down though unable to use the pool was depressing, but definitely the scenary that you would want to wake up to in compare to a normal hotel 4 walls room, quite expensive room, room service was very efficiently fast, warm and surprisingly delicious. Staff was very warm and friendly except for the night reception gentleman not so accommodating nor friendly
The Vue meal disappointing, very limited vegetarian choice, rendang meat overcooked, pork chop very dry, chicken and cashew bland.
Great resort right on the beach! Incredible sunset views from the Infinity Pool. Attentive staff and great amenities. The lagoon pool has a swim up
Bar with great cocktails. Would definitely stay again, however would recommend a hire car to get back into town (although Uber is only $8-10)
LOVED LOVED LOVED!
Bali / Thailand resort feels. We stayed at the hotel room which was more affordable but still had access to all facilities including the resort pool which had a pool bar. Beautiful water temperature and amazing sunset view from the hotel pool. It’s open to public during the weekend, so more exclusive and nicer during the week.
When Darwin went into lockdown, this hotel swung into action. Although I must confess I thought closing the pools was a bit excessive, but on reflection it was the right thing to do. Speaking of the right thing to do, giving a meaningful $100 daily room service voucher was an excellent piece of customer relations. Well done manager. Before it was closed, the lagoon pool was better than any we’ve found in Australia. The staff are fantastic, the food is ok though a bit limited and the accommodation dated, but there’s nothing wrong with dated.
Not enough staff able to assist at the reception desk. Took 10 minutes to get through to room service and seasonsl fruit platter was not seasonal and half raw. Rooms were lovely and clean and infinity pool made the stay worth it. No shower gel or conditioner to use in rooms. For 400 a night and 4 star was not up to standard at all.
Some really great things and some not so great. It's very expensive for what it is. We weren't happy with our room (for the price). We needed maintenance to correct the freezing air-conditioning in the room. There was mould on the ceiling and it smelled musty. It was a standard hotel room. We also had issues with their room service (not delivering) for which the reception staff gave us a complimentary breakfast which was good. They really tried to help.
The lagoon pool is exceptional and the food was good at Vue restaurant.
Very bad ! they didn't tell me price but charge me 379 one night ,first night 322! They lie
To me
The staff work hard to make guests as comfortable as possible, however the hotel is in need of an upgrade. TV came on at high volume at 5: 30am and reception didn't seem fazed by it. Prices can be a bit ridiculous at casino. They are quick to charge $15per night for parking, and take a bond when you arrive, but if there is little recourse if the hotel causes dissatisfaction
Skycity was awesome and easy to book. We went often. The new Mindil online booking system is an absolute farce. Can't select room type before selecting dates. Can't get through to an English-speaking brain cell on phone. Doors are locked to the reception area (very bizzare) so can't even walk in. Still haven't been able to book and lost all interest so went elsewhere. Odd business model.
Great spot, service was wonderful. Nice and clean I would highly recommend this accommodation. We will be back!
Enjoyed a banquet at the casino with my extended family after the wedding of my eldest son, was terrific
Not the largest Casino in the world, but it is well laid out with plenty to do. Especially enjoyed the Roulette table!
Outside there is an infinity pool that you can lounge around all day. They ask you to spend $30 at the bar which is fairly easy to do. They drinks aren't the best price.but everything was good and the food was tasty.
Billy will run around with suntan lotion and will take pictures for you too! He's awesome.
Large ballroom upstairs for big events which was a blast too.
Excellent place to have fun and one of the most beautiful sunsets in Darwin!
Walked in off the beach in our thongs and had a few frosty brewski's at the outdoor bar while watching a beautiful Darwin sunset. Staff were friendly. Drinks weren't too badly priced for a casino. Highly recommend to stop in here and have a coldie before heading to Mindil beach markets
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pool is absolutely perfect. Everything else about this place is quite dated and sad, and I would expect much better service for the price paid. Rooms ahevnt been spruced up in decades, the TV didn't turn off, I couldn't get through to reception on any of the phone numbers provided, the breakfast buffet was dried up and sad, and service was almost none-existent, and all the gates that were most convenient for us to access the pool were permanently locked. The whole resort is in serious need of some TLC. Still, hanging out at this pool all day for the price of a couple of cocktails would be appealing even for non hotel guests!
I absolute loved the atmosphere outside on the grass, however had the worst band playing that didn't match the atmosphere at all, but they were so bad we got a good laugh out of it
Wonderful and relaxing place to view the sunset. Good good and drinks at the bistro. Happy and helpful staff.
One of its own, worlds most beautiful sunrise and sun set i lov the pink sky, looks like pink sugar candy
