Do not stay here the manager was racist and very rude always counting people that come in & out of our apartment, making rude comments to my 13 year old sister about the clothes she’s wearing the apartment was in poor condition the aircon vents was leaking there was holes in the wall plus there was no room service, smelt like cockroaches when you walk in I stayed There for 5 days it was the worst 5 days I felt like I was always being watched I would not recommend anyone to stay here, the only thing that was good was the view.

This place had the potential to be a 5 star joint. It is situated perfectly in the CBD, it has fantastic views over the CBD all the way to the harbour, the apartments are massive and the pool and other amenities are great.

However, it's in dire need of a renovation. The first thing you see when you walk in to the concierge is the crumbled, peeling drywall under the vent in the foyer. Our apartment had busted drywall throughout, the ceiling in the laundry was caving in and the tiles in the kitchen were broken and chipped.

During our stay the main toilet stopped being able to flush, we notified the concierge who said a plumber would be there by 10am the same day. No plumber ever came, not for the remaining 4 days of our stay either.

With a lick of paint, some basic fixes and an update of fixtures into the 21st century, I could see this complex being the go to for all travellers to Darwin.

Best of luck in the future, all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Manager was very accommodating with after hours access to check in, location is great and facilities are good and secure. Can’t comment on price as I stayed for a work trip. Decor is a bit dated, but everything was functional and clean with comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen.

The place was no doubt, awesome, it has the best view, the service was great, the cashier was literally there even though it was 12 in the morning, the rooms, the best, very clean, a MUST stay place!

Slightly dated but quite decent for the price, the main thing is that every thing works, you've got your own washing machine and dryer, a full kitchen, the only thing missing is a oven and it's in a great location. It's got a pool and free undercover parking which is great extras.

Great appartment experience. Apartments are nice and clean, the building itself is a bit dated but inside is really nice. 4 star hotel, weekly cleaning of apartments. Pool that's cleaned regularly. Underground parking. Jason the front desk guy was friendly and very accommodating. Air conditioned apartments are a real plus. Nice views day or night. Easily accessible to Darwin attractions.

- The views were fantastic.
- The security was excellent.
Negatives:
- The air conditioning only worked in one room.
- The kitchen utensils were unclean upon arrival.

Big spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with wrap around verandah with city and ocean views on the 12th floor. Central location, walking distance or short drive for sightseeing. Service station right next door (minimal noise heard). Kid friendly room. Late access to pool. 24 hour concierge/On call and staff are very friendly. Secure stay, room tag required to get into basement, on to elevator and again to go up to room.
Apartment is a bit daggy looking and furniture is old (Okay for us with kids 1,3 and 5). Drawer falling apart in ensuite. Price of room does reflect these minor things.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

This place is dreadful. First impression was that after I was shocked our parking space was so small and difficult to manouver into my wife advised the sign on the wall did not match the sign on the ground and I was in the wrong spot. 3 sets of parking spot signs? Bring a stunt parker with you.
The unit itself. It is so dirty. Bugs in the apartment. Dead bugs in kitchen cupboards along with dirty crockery and cutlery. Oven disgusting also. The place smells like an ashtray and maintenance is overlooked. Our apartment patio doors out of line and wouldn't lock. Bathroom door handle inoperable. Water pressure and hot cold balance impossible. Lounge suite is not connected and storage lids have detached. Pubes on the tiles, around door opening and up the wall? The tiles were so dirty that when I used the floor mat to mop up some water from the way I needed to exit the shower it left a dirty great stain on the floor mat. Honestly managers, don't leave a mop for your guests, get the cleaners to mop. The floors need a scrub. Windows are disgustingly dirty.
While you can leave all the signs around about tenants cleaning up after themselves and empty our own rubbish, perhaps you should remind yourself about the basic premise of hospitality.
All the signs telling us what to do everywhere, where was the one advising us that we would be awoken by dynamite exploding at midnight due to Greek Easter celebrations? Handy for an out of towner to know wouldn't you think? I am so glad the inconsiderates partying on next door had prevented us from going to sleep anyway.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. We chose it for location which is very good and was convenient to where we needed to be, but I would not stay there again. Darwin itself is a very nice place with lots to explore. Hope you choose a nice place to stay.

Room quality was poor and out dated, definitely did not reflect what is advertised in online photos. Kitchen had dead cockroaches and window still had greasy splash marks on it. Our room/security key was patched up with a band aid!
Windows were easily opened by children and with no screens posed a huge safety issue 11 floors up.

Where do I start! TERRIBLE, worst apartment we have ever stayed in by far. Apartment 21
Arrived to find no power on, found turned off at circuit board. Fridge was obviously hot with an absolutely putrid smell which went through the apartment and could not keep our cold food and drinks cold for first couple of hours.
Freezer full of mould and unable to use.
Carpets stained and dirty, toilet dirty, furniture dated and weary.
Hot water tripping at circuit board and had a cold shower in the morning.
No blanket or bed spread on the beds, two sheets only.
Generally dirty apartment and very run down.
No Austar or DVD as advertised on their own website.
Massively in need of maintenance in all areas.
Spoke to management soon arriving to our room, again that night and a third time when checking out.
Requested to be moved to another room, but advised they were complete booked. Although he stated the power had been turned off because they were very quiet!
Manager Jason not at all interested, showed him my photos for evidence of poor condition and his response was “I’ll speak to the cleaner”
Never again ZERO stars for this one.

Absolutely a stunning view from Level 11 and a fantastic place to stay; be it short or long term.the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. You basically have everything you need. All you do is buy your own food and cook. I'm giving it 5 stars.

Marrakai provides self serve units and hotel accommodation, long and short stay. It is reasonably central, with a pool, under cover barbecue and excellent views.

Not really "luxury" accommodation. Lots of minor maintenance issues that unfortunately make it look uncared for. Room servicing a bit hit & miss. Location good though.

This is a great place to stay in Darwin. The location is very handy on the edge of the city and apartments are spacious, well appointed and great views. The gentleman on the front desk was always helpful and friendly. It is by far the best value accommodation in Darwin city.

The good: Reasonable price, massive space, comfortable beds, good location.

The bad: No TV reception on either TV, Poor lighting in dining room, Room in need of maintenance in several areas, noise from the locals quite bad at times.

The strange: Random collection of stuff spread around the property, left in cupboards etc.

Stayed in room 60 overlooking the casino. Great views, spacious living, close to town for dinner or breakfast. I really enjoyed the weekend away.

Great service and staff are very friendly.

Do recommend.
