Started Kings Canyon Rim Walk around 6 AM and finished around 10 AM with lots of stops during the hike. Did this hike on a Wednesday and it was very quiet. Stunning views and the detour to the oasis was definitely worth it.

Great walk around the rim of the canyon. Boring alert! Can’t stress enough how important it is to have at least 2l of water, and to sip it. Feels like your ok until your not.

Magnificent hike in the canyons. Apart from the climb being a bit steep at the beginning (for the 6 km hike), the rest is rather simple. Despite everything, prefer to start it early in the morning to avoid too stifling heat.

There was plenty of information about the hike with a screen playing a slideshow. Also information about the area and things to look out for. Toilets and drinking water are available at the carpark. We noted some Telstra / Aldi mobile reception and a sign said wifi might be available but we didn't confirm that. There is also room for larger rigs / caravans in a separate carpark. There is a sunset viewing area off on a side road you see when driving in to the main carpark.

The service staff was friendly, the service was great, the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

The carpark is wide but can be occupied early with hike/nature lovers so you better arrive earlier.

We visited as part of the AAT Tour from uluru. Part of our group did the rim walk along the top of Kings Canyon which was an absolute treat. The first 200 steps climbing up the rock face is the hardest and if you can make it up the stairs the rest of the walk is reasonably manageable. A couple of things to keep in mind
- There are no railings along the edge and there is a requirement that you stay 2 m from the edge. If you have kids it is imperative that you hold onto them.
- In certain sections there are man made stairs - which are actually harder to naviate as they are quite narrow and steep.
- You can only do the walk in a clockwise motion which makes it easier as the paths are quite narrow in places.

I would highly recommend taking the 20 minute detour to the Garden of Eden and keep an eye out for the Jellyfish fossils at the highest point on the canyon.

Great place to visor, even with smaller children, we did the short 60min walk and kids were fine, paths and tracks well maintained and great parking.
There is even a place to fill up your water so you keep hydrated

10 out of 10.6 km walk is the best and definitely must visit. Little bit hard at the beginning but then mostly flat. There are two additional walks to viewing points about 600m each. Both worth seeing, don't skip them. Breathtaking views and emotions you will never forget.

Requires experienced guide, sufficient water and reasonable fitness level.

The recommended loop starts from ascending steep hillside to reach the top of the canyon towards north. Once this overcame this taxing exercise the rest is relatively easy but don't underestimate the unforgiving hot climate and lack of shades on top of the canyon.

Most places at the top lack an obvious path but there are generally enough signs to not get lost.

It is very difficult to spot wildlife in the heat. There are plants here and there decorating the red landscape.

Sightseeing choppers hovering overhead constantly - a reminder that human activities are not that far away.

The toilet facility is only available at the carpark so brace yourself.

Overall a wonderful hiking experience.

Very large bays for big rigs.
Get there early if you want to do a walk as can get very hot.
Take extra water.

Beautiful no other words for it.
Do the rim walk but start early in the morning before it gets to hot.

We walked the rim at 6am for sunrise, was spectacular. Felt the car was safe parked there because there was always people coming and going.

Located just 12 minutes drive from Kings Canyon itself, Kings Canyon Resort is quite a conveniently located accommodation provider. We enjoyed the rim walk. The Chef Andy was excellent. Ben has gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The Duty Manager at Reception, Roger, was very helpful, friendly and informative. He took his time with us, gave us many maps and gave us information on the animals, birds, fauna, and even a star map. The petrol station was a great place to shop, with plenty of nice souvenirs. Sunset viewing platform was also amazing. We were very pleased with all staff and will definitely come back with our family and friends. Highly recommended. Well done, jolly good.

Magnificent not to be missed. Start early, it gets very hot, even in July. Don't forget your water and take tour time to enjoy the experience. Magnificent.

This place has an absolute magnificent vibe. Ancient stark beauty. Awesome place. Yet most people only mention Uluru, this is by far more spectacular.
