We went on the 1hr sunset helicopter tour with landing. We have to say it has been the most remarkable experience of our holiday. John was the pilot. Extremely competent and very knowledgeable about all the area around Katherine Gorge.
This is a family run business and so professional. The Champagne and nibbles also exceeded our expectations.
Thank you John and Steph for this very memorable and enjoyable experience.

What an awesome sunset trip to take. Couldn't recommend Katherine Helicopters enough and Johns knowledge of the area is amazing. Topped off with the sunset landing and platter, this was the highlight of my trip.

What an amazing experience! We went on a wet and stormy day but John from Katherine Helicopters went above and beyond to ensure we got a great view of the gorges by skirting around the rain as much as possible (definitely necessary as going through it with the doors open at 200kph does sting a bit as I found out, haha!).

The views were breathtaking, the tour commentary was interesting and amusing, and the ride was super smooth, even my missus who is afraid of flying was well chilled out by the end of it.and where we landed for sunset was awesome, not even a proper helipad siree or anything, just a clear enough spot on the edge of an escarpment, you really feel like you've just been plonked down somewhere you'd never normally be able to reach (because you wouldn't, not without like a 4 day hike probably).

We did the sunset champagne and nibbles flight and although we used the Territory Tourism Voucher (saving us nearly a massive 50%) we both said that this was something we would have been happy to pay full price for on a special occasion as it really is something special. The nibbles were a great selection of crackers, cheese, deli meats, and a variety of fruits. And the wine was some nice Australian sparkling white. 2 bottles of it, haha, which I was very pleased by as I thought there'd be just enough for a glass each (there was another couple with us) but there was plenty to go around.

In short, if you can get the Territory Tourism Voucher than this is a must do. If you cant get the voucher but have the money, or are feeling flash, then I highly recommend it too, its not something you'll soon forget!

This was the highlight of my trip to the Northern Territory, Katherine Gorge. The pilot, John, went out of his way to make us feel happy with the tour. He gave us important information on the sights and we landed on top of the Gorge which we had champagne & a cheese plater which was delicious. I travelled on my own but the helicopter tour was with another lovely couple from Darwin. Must Do!

Highly recommend as it’s one of the best experiences we have had. George went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing time. Highly reliable and outstanding customer service. Great team to work with if you want to organise a surprise or a special occasion.

The best priced helicopter tours. The owner/operator pilots ensured the weather was safe to fly in and made every effort to ensure our trip to Katherine wasn’t wasted. John was very knowledgeable in the surrounds and explained the history, as well as a few fun facts about local wildlife and the cultural aspects of the Nitmiluk National park. We’ll definitely be back, and absolutely recommend this family business to all locals and travellers.

I went on a helicopter tour around the Katherine Gorge with Katherine Helicopters. I hadn't been on a helicopter flight for 15 years and was a little nervous about flying due to the motion sickness I suffer from. George, the pilot, said he would sit me up the front with him so I could enjoy a clear view and get plenty of airflow. I had a great time and didn't feel sick at all! Thanks to the team at Katherine Helicopters for their customised service and care for both me and my friends.

We thoroughly loved the 30min Katherine Gorge tour with additional landing, sunset and champagne/chessboard added. Our pilot George was very friendly and skilled, the family owned business is so personal and the cheese board and champers were top quality. They even swapped a champers for a beer to cater for my hubby. Great value for money. Highly recommended. Best in Katherine.
