Katherine Helicopters

We had the absolute pleasure of flying with Katherine Helicopters recently. It was thrilling and adrenaline filled experience flying over the 13 gorges and many waterfalls. We are so pleased we opted for the Sunset Special, which included landing on the top of the ranges to view the sunset and topped off with champagne and delicious gourmet nibbles. We felt completely comfortable with Dylan, our pilot, who came with amazing credentials and many years of flying experience. Being a local, his commentary was excellent. We cannot recommend Katherine Helicopters highly enough.

By far the best part of our trip to date. Flying over the gorges with Dylan in the Bell 47 was truely remarkable. First flight for our toddler who absolutely loved it too. Thank you also John & Steph for an awesome afternoon

Did the sunset ride and it was awesome. Saw the 13 gorges and falls. Landed and have some snacks and our pilot George was awesome.

Absolutely amazing experience. George was fantastic. He went the extra to book us in. The helicopters were being serviced and we thought we would be going with other people. But all good he booked us on a flight with the very knowledgeable Dillon in a three seater helicopter. I cannot recommend them enough. They picked us up from Shady Lane discovery Park. Loved it

There were only two of us so we went up in the Bell copter like the one from Mash. Like being in an old convertible. Great sights, felt completely safe the whole trip.

Dylan and George are the nt’s airborne version of Roy and HG. Still buzzing from the absolutely perfect time they put on for us. You will not regret booking with these guys - especially if you get the Kumbidgee dinner.

Unbelievable experience to see the gorge from the air. Definitely recommend the sunset tour, it will be the highlight of your trip. George and Cam are both genuinely friendly and knowledgeable blokes. Thankfully Cam makes a much better pilot than he does a chippy. Both did a fantastic job of convincing the Mrs to move up to this part of the world. Love your work boys.

This was the most amazing experience. Thrilling ride, stunning scenery, insight into the local area, excellent host. A remote landing with a gourmet platter of nibbles and champagne while watching the sun set over the landscape was unbeatable. We went with our three kids who LOVED it. I could not more highly recommend the experience and also the owner. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks.

Excellent helicopter flight over Katherine Gorge in a R44, I would highly recommend anyone that comes to Katherine to take a helicopter flight with this operator who are professional and friendly. Thanks for an amazing flight. Will do this again

Had a great flight. The flight offers a completely different perspective of the gorge, you don't realise how big it is until you see it from the air.
The pilot - John, was very experienced and knowledgeable about the area.
We felt safe and would certainly recommend this flight and company to others.

What an awesome experience. Our pilot Dylan was fantastic. So friendly and informative - what a top bloke. Very obliging for photos and info on the Katherine area. We got a great tour of the gorge and surrounding falls with a remote landing for the sunset. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and Dylan as part of the Nitmiluk experience.

Katherine Helicopters showed us Katherine’s 14 magnificent gorges and surrounds from the best viewpoint. Their larger helicopter meant that our group of 4 could experience this together. George our pilot and host, did a great job.
We opted for the longer flight and landing with a champagne and cheese sunset. This option was so worth it and shifted the experience to a higher level.
We had an unforgettable trip, thank you.

What an experience! Our pilot Dylan was professional and knowledgeable. He made flying with our 3 year old daughter very easy and safe.
The Katherine Gorge flight gave us a great perspective of the entire area and Dylans local knowledge was very entertaining and educational. Highly recommend this company, from booking to flying was an easy pleasure.
