Kakadu Tours and Travel

We are yet to reach the top end and enjoy our tour, but we have had to change our trip at short notice thanks to COVID lockdowns. Karen has been amazing and seamlessly rearranging our dates to suit. Thanks so much - we look forward to our trip and tour into Kakadu.

We had booked an AAT Kings tour leaving Darwin but due to covid-19 border closures we had to make a last minute cancellation as we were flying in from Sydney. Highly professional staff who respond to enquires promptly. Booking was easy. Unfortunately, I had to cancel our tours due to the Covid lockdown but was re-imbursed immediately. When I re-schedule my holiday to Darwin, I will be contacting Kakadu Tours again with confidence.

We were very excited to be able to get flights to the NT, only to discover everything we wanted to do whilst in Kakadu was already booked out.seemed like everyone had the same idea!
Karen however managed to recommend and book us on some small day tours which worked perfectly for us. She was quick in emailing us back and confirming everything. Unfortunately due to ill health we had to cancel our trip. Karen was just as responsive in providing a full refund - within 3 days!
I could not recommend Karen highly enough. These COVID times are tough on the tourism industry so anyone lucky enough to travel to Kakadu should definitely use Karen to help with their touring needs.

Unfortunately I have just had to cancel several tours I booked for this month as the border is now closed to all Victorians who don't want to spend 14 days in quarantine, so have not done the tours, but the business is very professional and I look forward to utilising their services when we are permitted to travel to the territory.

Sadly i had to cancel my chopper flight due to Covid restrictions. But Karen in the office was very understanding, very helpful and i could not have asked for better service. John.

We booked 2 tours through this company. Due to COVID there was a lot of uncertainty right up until the last minute. Karen was amazing in finding tours for us and talking to the operators when we did not know if we were going to actually make it to Kakadu

We have previously enjoyed an Arnhem Land tour with this group and they were wonderful. Our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting and we saw rock art thousands of years old right in the places they were originally painted in - awesome!
We couldn’t go on our tour we booked in July because of lockdowns in our own State and in the NT - but Karen was so friendly and helpful with sorting that out for us in these very trying times.
I would heartily recommend this group for these tours!

Despite all the chaos surrounding the travel industry at the moment, Karen managed to find time to offer to help us with a problem that had nothing to do with Karen. It was even in a completely different geographic area. Thank you Karen.

We were forced to cancel our trip due to CoVID restrictions which was so disappointing, so while I did not get to enjoy the tour, I'd like to say that Karen made booking our tour and then cancelling and refunding super easy. She was incredibly responsive to the many questions I had and I would definitely book with this company again.

With no overseas travel it has meant that Aussies are travelling to the NT in droves. So what you say, well it means that getting a booking is near impossible.unless you use a great agent like Kakadu Tours and Travel. They went well over my expectations to find me a spot on a tour.like call waiting for over 2 hours to confirm. This tour was a river boat tour between Kakadu and Arnhem Land and as such the scenery was stunning. Our tour operator was so incredibly knowledgeable of the area and history and quite a personality as well which made the tour extra special. My partner and I have come away from this with so much newfound respect for the land here and Original people's ways. We are so grateful to have been given the opportunity to see and experience this tour and location.

Karen went above and beyond to book our very last minute Kakadu day tour with optional 50 minute flight. It was worth every cent
the scenery, commentary and professionalisim were second to none. I highly recommend doing this tour if you have a day to spare.

The year 2020, and three months into 2021, were extremely difficult times for any traveller, what with all the lockdowns, re-openings, multiple tour cancellations and rescheduling. But however difficult it may have been for the traveller, tour operators and tour agencies suffered even more. Yet despite all the challenges and changes to our tour bookings, Karen from Kakadu Tours and Travels conducted herself with so much dignity, integrity and efficiency. Her patience in the midst of the chaos helped me feel like we'd never have to hit the panic button as we knew that she had things under control. And in the event that she didn't, we knew that she would look after us and rectify any situation to the best of her ability. My husband and I have traveled extensively all over the world over 20 years and people like Karen are rare. I'd choose Kakadu Tours and Travel each and every time just because of her. Karen of Kakadu Tours and Travel was fantastic. She identified that there might have been other tours more suited to us and promptly got us sorted with a great 4wd tour so we can get to the water holes off the main track. Can't fault the experience and the service! Highly recommended.
