Elkira Court Motel reviews
51Basic room.but nice. The real et down was the aircon.wow it was so noisy.had to sleep with ear plugs.
Friendly courteous staff, lovely clean room the restaurant excellent meals extremely reasonable prices.highly recommend motel and restaurant.
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms, has a pool and bbq area. Right in the middle of town, walking distance to everything.
Air conditioning noisy after we specifically asked and assured it wasn't. Shower sprayed water over the ceiling as the shower head was broken, toilet failed to fill after flushing (my wife fixed the ballcock). Bedding was stained terribly, rubbish bins had mould growing in it, old and dated, curtains didn't block out the outside lights, reception closed early evening so had to wait until next day to highlight these problems, staff were understanding and sympathetic. My wife left her number for the Manager to ring her as he/she was unavailable - One week later she's still waiting for the call. Needless to say we won't be visiting again and we come to Alice around once a fortnight. On a brighter note. Breakfast was good
TV had 2 channels only air-conditioning wouldn't work. Access to balcony ridiculous. Curtains don't allow direct access to balcony door.
Stayed here for a period of around 2 weeks. Found it to be a cosy place with friendly people managing it. The only thing I found lacking, was no microwave in my room. Unsure if the other rooms have one or not, but felt that it would be of benefit for the motel to offer a microwave for those travelling through. The motel is close to shops and restaurants, however sometimes you prefer to not eat at a restaurant every night.
Always good. Stayed here several times
Update, June 2015: just stayed again. They're doing a refit. Even nicer than before. WiFi is a little sketchy. Spoke to their IT guy. He'll look into it
Shocking rooms and linens. Dirty, no security for patrons. Disappointing and had a drunk local banging on my door at 2am. Which ended with the police being called. Never again!
Receptionist was very efficient and the friendliest we have encountered. Great aircon, comfy bed, roomy room and everything was neat and clean, definitely recommend
Stayed there for 2 days in 2015 with my family after a long ride from Darwin. Pricey but enjoyable.
Convenient location, nice dinner in the restaurant, comfortable and well-equipped rooms. A fitting conclusion to our visit to the Territory.:)
