This is an amazing gem in this desert. Very well maintained property. Clean rooms. Friendly and respectful staff. Excellent customer service. Amazing breakfast spread. If u are visiting Ulluru definitely plan Ur stay at the Desert Garden resort. Highly recommend.

The reception, gardens and public rooms were excellent. However my room - supposedly a deluxe Rock View room was very poor. The carpet was dirty and threadbare - the patter had been walked off in places. The bathroom sink had cracks in it and the plus got stuck in the closed position. The toilet was badly stained and the steps leading up to the room were strewn with OLD leaves and had not been swept in a long time. There were no USB chargers and the TV was very basic.
If you want a luxury room at two thirds of th

I didn't have high expectations, but the well-maintained garden, friendly staff, free shuttle between resorts, and the performance were good. Daily housekeeping was also nice and clean.

Perfectly fine hotel, main draw of course is Uluru. You have access to facilities at all the resorts in the area so that’s nice. Has a pool. Hotel bar and restaurant are quality. Other good restaurants and dinner experiences through the resorts as well. Rooms are simple but nice. They warn you about flies, which weren’t too bad, and mice, which we didnt see evidence of at all. Comfortable beds and pillows. Staff was all perfectly nice.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and service, we had a fantastic room with a view of the rock. We were very well looked after. The Ayres Rock Resort is doing their utmost through covid to maintain operations and service and I have to say they are doing a great job. If you are Australian and haven't been - go now! With no international tourists you have a very special spiritual place in Australia to visit asap!

Great accommodation and facilities. Slightly old but gives it some charm. Amazing views of Uluru

P.s. Separatly I was disappointed by how much light pollution the resort gives off. As I was there partially there for stars, could still see a fair few though

The staff at the front desk were very lovely and went above and beyond to assist us with queries/changes to our stay there. The rooms were also pleasant, with good beds and amenities.

The entire experience however was marred by our experience with the restaurant and their questionable/dodgy tactics. The food is on the expensive side and comes in relatively small portions, but is very good tasting. The problems however was when seated we were asked about our water preference and told them we just wanted normal water. They proceeded to bring an opened bottle and poured out some water for us to drink, leaving the bottle on the table. When we ran out, they replaced the bottle, but this time we saw that it was a bottle they were opening as they walked over.

When we went to pay we were suspicious of this fact, and the price was significantly higher than what we had calculated for the food/drinks we ordered. They did not list any water on the rundown of what we had ordered, however after enquiring about the increased price, only then did they disclose the two $10.50 bottles of water they were including in the bill. We challenged this and the cost was dropped from our bill, however not all may be as lucky. We saw two other tables who had been served the same water.

A restaurant that claims to honour and showcase local exotic produce in their food while practising a protocol that very likely hoodwinks plenty of their patrons just seems to be in poor taste just did not sit right with us.

By no means was the overall experience negative, there was plenty of positive but this small act does raise concerns regarding the ethics of the management.

Nice bit of luxury in the desert. Be prepared to pay top dollar. Worth having the room with Uluru in the background. Great services and facilities and staff are friendly and attentive. Clean well presented room and resort.

The hotel is tired and there is definite room for improvement- e.g. Bathroom linen was frayed and worn, towel hooks were missing from the bathroom door, bath tub had several noticeable chips in the enamel. Reception staff were polite, friendly and very helpful- thankyou Mona and Madura for your co-operation. Restaurant/Bar is currently closed.

The Management and staff are doing the best they can in the difficult COVID-19 circumstances. Under the conditions they are doing a terrific job. Very friendly, very helpful and very professional. The team excels at those things within their control.
My only suggestion would be to drop Ayers Rock from the name, go with Uluru Resort.

Garden room with Two double beds- comfortable, spacious and clean. Bonus Breakfast got thrown into it-$290. Cheap in comparison to Curtain Springs tiny container rooms with shared bathroom for $200. -

Wasn't open and we weren't warned about that by anyone until we arrived in Yalara. Simply bad Business.

We had a 1 night stay here in Oct 2019. Room was big, clean & hotel staff very friendly/helpful. I remember the pool area being fine altho' could do with a bit of a spruce up (tiles missing, ladders a bit rickety). All in all a good location & happy stay.

Nice service, clean rooms, nice balkony.room with desert view is recommended.sadly the pool is quite outdated (reason for only 4 stars).

This is part of the larger resort. There’s only one company so you have to stay at one of their hotels.

The hotel itself was pretty good. The reason for the four stars is that I didn’t quite think it delivered on amenities based on the price. We played close to $500 AUD for a rock view room. The living area was decent but the bathroom was definitely dated. The entire room was quite large and we didn’t lack for space.

Initial checkin was mundane but I think that was just a one off as the staff were great the remainder of the trip. The breakfast was also pretty decent with some variety but it’s the same from one day to the next. Couldn’t use the pool as we went during the winter but the area looked good.

You have a variety of restaurants given there are multiple hotels. There also is a grocery store in the town square for snacks.

All in all I’d stay here again if I visit Uluru.

Unfortunately we arrived with out prior notice, which meant camping on the dirt a mile away from everything, apparently it happens every day year after year, why not improve at least the amenities for those out in the over flow because we are paying good money just to park there.

Looks and feels like a renovated hotel. A bit unclean and one can hear all neighbors particularly at early hours. Overally okay due to location and friendly staff.
