Place is run down. Rooms are in desperate need of renovation. We had no hot water our entire stay. Not worth the money they're charging. Rooms are tiny and don't even have a TV. Staff were friendly enough. We booked 3 nights but ended up leaving early. Better off staying at Dundee lodge.

Our second time at Crab Claw Island. And as spectacular as the last. Only for lunch today. The meal, service & atmosphere was great.

Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Stayed here for 2 nights in a beachfront room it was small but it was perfect for just the 2 of us. Really enjoyed the quiet and view from the rooms and restaurant/bar. Good size meals. 2 pools. Overall happy with our stay and will come back!

Service was fantastic, the deluxe room is very nice, spacious and with a lovely balcony. Beautiful spot to look at for sunrise and sunset, food at the restaurant is delicious. Definitely worth visiting!

I don't know if it's worth it, but the sunrise was awesome. Internet only works in the restaurant.

Nothing but good things to say!

Location is absolutely stunning
The bar/restaurant is very tropical and gives just relax and enjoy vibes.

AND THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I had the soft shell crab and it was just the best thing ever. My new all time favourite meal.

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great location for lunch and beverage at the pub. Staff were very friendly and the food was top shelf. Do yourself a favour and get up here.

Stayed for to night on a powered site. Site are clean and shady. Food was goodand the beer cold
However the toilets and showers are dated and due for a renovation. For 50 dollars a night I would expext clean and maintained Ammenities. The shower bases where stained. The walls in the toilet cubicals where dirty and one doorlock missing. Ohtervice a great spot

We camped in a powered site. The hosts liz and jordy were amazing. Hired a boat and enjoyed some fishing. Definitely will return. Great little getaway escape!

Wife and I decided to drive out to Crab Claw Island today for a day trip, and grab a drink and lunch at the restaurant. It was lovely, and much better than I was expecting!
Road in is a little bumpy, but I left the 4x4 at home and got out there no worries in the run around car.
The staff were friendly, and while I was expecting to pay more due to being an hour out of Darwin, the food was very fairly priced.
The restaurant is elevated and looking over the water. It was a beautiful day, and the sea breeze was just gorgeous. While enjoying this relaxing atmosphere, our food was brought out and I must say, it was superbly cooked! Whenever I order squid, I always steel myself encase it be overdone, but this was the hands down the most perfectly cooked plate I've had in my 30+ years in the territory.
Well worth the hours drive to head out there for lunch! Thanks for the great afternoon.

It's the best the staff are wonderful and super friendly and the food was to die for drinks on the verandah overlooking the water what more can I say. Thank you for making our short stay a wonderful experience.i wish we could have stayed longer

Drove out there from Dundee Beach for a look and glad we stayed at Dundee. There is a nice outlook from the villas on the shoreline but the van park doesn’t enjoy the same outlook as it’s nestled back from the beach. There is very little access beyond this area if you want to get out and explore. Once you get here you really want to just utilise the beach area in the immediate area or have a boat.

Booked a retreat room as we have two young children, it provides space for the boat and didn’t think a beachfront room would be appropriate due to the shared balcony and internal wall. (two kinds under 4 screaming is not pleasant for neighbours)

We arrived early in the morning to start fishing and fished the day returning back at the resort at 13: 50. We asked for a room key and were told it would be 15 minutes. Half an hour later after unpacking the boat and bags we went up to the designated room to see where things were at and could see dirty sheets and towels still in the room. We went back to the bar to ask for an update on the room and explain the need for a shower and aircon after kids being on the water from early. We were offered a beachfront room which has shared walls and balcony with a neighbour, or to wait for cleaning to be completed or to have a swim and drink at the bar while we waited.

With above stated; frustration is paying $250 a night for a room that isn’t ready, Check out is at 10am so it means staff have done nothing to that room for 4 hours and waited for the first new guest to arrive and complain. After our complaint 3 staff arrived and started cleaning the room next to ours first.

We chose to drive home with a refund granted and no further service or support provided. We were grateful to get a refund.

Have stayed previously with great service.

Enjoyed a father's day lunch and drinks. Beers were icy cold and reasonably priced. Staff did us tasty great vegan wraps. Delicious! Nice views from the beach in front of the restaurant. Will definately be back. Thank you to all the great staff.

Beautiful location, amazing atmosphere, great staff. Easy drive from Darwin and it felt like we were on an exotic island in the middle of the Pacific. Fantastic food and tropical styled villas on the beach front. Plus boat hire and powered camping sites. Something for all. Can't want to return. Highly recommended.

Went with a group of 8 today for lunch and a couple of drinks. Everyone on our table got their meals very quickly except my husband and I. We asked a couple of times about ours and were told they were on there way, I don't like to complain I am a type 1 diabetic which I told them by the time I got mine I was so close to have a diabetic hypo SHAME BUT I WILL NEVER BE BACK

John and his crew were amazing, from the initial phone call to when we checked out. Accommodation was first class and our meals most enjoyable. We hired a boat and spent the day fishing and checking out the water ways. We highly recommend Crabclaw for the best adventure ever.

This has been one of the highlights of our trip. The staff have been wonderful. Fabulous food and great accommodation looking out over the water. There was an emergency while we were here and the staff dealt with it amazingly. We will be back

Wonderful camping/caravan location with plenty of shady sites, clean and tidy with a very good restaurant and bar for a feed and a drink.
