Boab Caravan Park reviews
41Nice little caravan park. The amenities are clean but old, timed lights in the showers, I finished my shower in the dark. It is very noisy at night because of a neighboring dog that loves the sound of his own voice and gets off by making all the other dogs around bark too, hardly sleeping a wink because of this. It's an ok park but if you want to shower with the light on and have a quiet night's sleep then go somewhere else.
Nice spacious park with angled parking sand concrete slabs to make it easy. About 1 km to town. Clean and bright amenities
Great van park great staff excellent service helped us out no end let us have late checkout as we needed tyres repaired highly recommend
Arrived late in the afternoon in the on season, wasn’t much space around but the team working at the front desk did more than expected and found me a place to stay, would stay here again anytime! Keep up the good work guys
Nice small park with plenty room around the sites.especially if you have a site in the middle area. Plenty of grass. Your van is on a slab so they keep the lawns in excellent condition. Amenities are o located in the middle of the park. There is fuel and a takeaway shop. Pool is small but ok. We will return.
These guys were so accommodating when we broke down. They found us a place to stay on the lawn while we waited for a car part and the rest of our group.
Place was very clean and well kept. Great drive to Edith falls and Nitmiluk NP. Would recommend this place highly enough. Awesome people that run this place.
Lovely grounds and good birding on site. More expensive than other places for parking a campervan but better maintained grounds and facilities.
Friendly staff at check-in. Great location and a really good site. Showers ordinary.no bench to put your stuff on, had to hang everything up but not enough hooks. Lucky weather was hot so didn't need to take much there.
Boab caravan park is a neat well organised park, very clean. Nathan (manager) was quite effecient and very helpful to his guests
Belinda and Glenn
Thank you for another great stay as always best park managers from all of our travels
Take care and enjoy your next adventures
Maybe we will meet again sometime
Thanks too glen and the team at boab caravan park, definitely recommend if Katherine is the destination. Quiet lush oasis located 5min from town. Clean well maintained family friendly facilities. 10 out of 10 from the big marn!
Absolutely disappointing to say the least, filthy ammenities, no hot water or working shower heads, no toilet paper in toilets, staff denied everything and gave us outdated information then refused us a refund when we left. Glen the manager said bad luck you decided to leave. End of the day it’s Australia and if they can’t live up to there park standards and I pay for 2 night upfront but leave by 9am they should have a good Will to refund 1 night. Rude and staff have no idea on customer service, avoid
Very nice need little park, good facilities, helpful information, all good as far as I'm concerned. And very close to the Katherine Springs which are within 1km and beautiful.
The outside of this park is pretty & well looked after that's where it stopped for us.
The amenities were an absolute joke. Shower head kept falling, lights went out when I was in the shower at night, its no wonder people walk around with torches. Have video proof of this. No working power points in the ladies toilet block. A tresel table to put your toiletries on before you enter the shower, how rediculious. Washing machines gross, powder detergent left in all the barrels along with bugs & one out of order. Power went out three times. No hot water to wash dishes. No camp kitchen.
We couldn't get out of this place quick enough.
Glen was an absolute pig to deal with to get a refund for the second night that we had paid for. Nothing was refunded but we will cut our loses as we were disgusted in these amenities & found a beautiful park to stay at at the same price that has lovely amenities.
Stayed here in mid-June and found it to be a great site not too far from all the main attractions in Katherine. The owner/manager Glen was super friendly and very accomodating. Cheers!:)
A small caravan park with a handy fuel station and shop which has hot food and alcohol. It is open from 7 am to 5 pm.
Stopped at this quaint little park number of times over the years. My how things have changed outrages price, slabs dirty barby won't work also filthy dirty rubbish bins not emptied really stinken. Laundry looks like uncle and for sometime no security gates
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Accomodation in Katherine is $250 per night and pretty much booked out as dry season is about to start. Managed to get a room for 8 nights with a kitchenette right next to the pool. Much better than Knotts crossing where the kitchenette is a toaster and jug in a closet with a fridge where I always stayed but not worth the $2200 they were going to charge. I would choose to stay here again.
Friendly, go out of your way caravan park, if you need anything, just ask Belinda or Glen, best managers ever xx
Very overpriced for what it is. I’ve stayed at parks 10x better for half the price.
The pros: it’s well located, has grassy sites (some with shade), friendly, there was some music entertainment.
The cons: charging nearly fifty bucks a night (for 2 adults) for a park that just has the basic minimum, very basic facilities (zero shower pressure) and I’m currently sitting here with my noise canceling headphones on because they’re chopping down trees and there is no way to relax.
