Berry Springs Waterhole reviews
45It was absolutely spectacular! The water was warm with a turquoise colour, safe for the little ones to swim and had multiple swimming areas. I would recommend taking a noodle or similar for people who are not strong swimmers or you can hire them there.
The best water hole in NT that I know of in terms of facilities, accessibility, water quality, temperature, scenery and size.
What an absolutely magic place.
Plenty of picnic and BBQ areas and extremely well maintained.
The springs are a great place to sit and cool off, but be warned there are small fish and yabbies in the water so if you stop for too long they like to have a nibble. Suggest you take a pool noodle in with you and keep floating.
DO NOT CLIMB ON THE PLANTS, YOU WILL BE FINED! Other than that, there are a few spots to jump into the water from. Family friendly with ample swimming space. Plenty of grassy areas for a quick picnic or even a bbq. 10/10 recommend
What a lovely place! Grounds are kept beautifully. Picnic tables and lovely grassed areas to have your lunch. A kiosk is there with pool noodles for sale or hire if you need one as well as food and drinks! The thermal springs themselves are wonderful and relaxing. They seem to go on forever. There are quite a few high rocks etc though in the smaller areas to watch out for. Great place to spend a few hours.
This place is amazing & less that 30mins from Darwin! The earlier you go the better as it gets busy by 1130am and carparks become very limited. It's perfect for a full day out, lots of green grass & picnic tables to set up a picnic for the day. Pool noodles are a must (you can hire them out at the kiosk there) they help to float down from the top spring to the lower pool.
Easy day trip from Darwin to enjoy the amazing nature beauty of the area and to enjoy swimming in the Connecting freshwater Springs in safety
This is such an excellent place to be for a casual swim. Be aware it opens at 8 am so get there as early as possible to avoid big crowds. The springs had 3 main sections which you can float through, some parts are quite rocky so watch out. There were heaps of amazing fish and some were even biting people who were on the pools edge and standing still, try to move or stay on a pool noodle in the middle of the swimming area to avoid this. One of our favourite swimming spots for this reason, it’s so natural and beautiful!

What a paradise! Had a lovely afternoon here with friends and met others from all over. Family friendly. How relaxing.
I understand that the water is flowing and high. But why not put a sign out to say both pools are shut.
Nice place to swom when the weather really hot it will be close if already rain season in darwin
We couldn't swim there today as it has seasons when you can swim, but it was a nice place for a picnic
Stunning place for a swim. Warm to cool spring water. Just be careful of your knees on the rock ledges. Great place for bbq. Toilets, gas bbq and wood fire BBQs. Kiosk some of the time
Great place to take family for BBQ and a swim. THATS IF the swimming holes ARE ACTUALLY OPEN for swimming BUT due to excessive bacteria, Rangers say no swimming till about April next year! Grrr
Very nice relaxing place to swim. Beautiful canopy above. Lots of different interesting bits to explore. The surrounding nature Park is lovely as well. Good place for a picnic or a walk with toilets, benches, and a kiosk. You can often see little wallabies hopping around, lots of interesting birds, and so far NO crocodiles, haha!
This place is beautiful. I just felt uneasy swimming after reading crocs have been pulled out of it.
Absolutely beautiful and very picturesque. It gets crowded but if you go later in the afternoon the crowds disappear.
Amazing beautiful the best springs better than all the others by far great picnic area shops only open few hr on weekend shame. Toilets really nice place
What an absolutely beautiful oasis
Pack a picnic, take a swimming noodle as the main swimming hole is very deep. The water is warm and so clear you can see the fish swimming around your feet:) best time to go is early morning, then you have the pleasure of having the springs too your self
So many reasons to go for a dip! Make sure ya got your reading glasses on or be prepared to get slapped by misso
