Adelaide River Inn reviews
41Really nice Sunday afternoon meal. Live music and nice roast. Few flys but it is the outback
Classic old country pub! Beautiful beer garden and all the staff and the locals are fantastic. Happy Hour daily from 5-6pm, live music and a god menu. We stayed in caravan park our back and loved our time there. Clean facilities, great pool and being right next to the pub is a bonus. Be sure to go in and meet Charlie the water buffalo from Crocodile Dundee!
We used it as a base to explore Litchfield NP as the park campsites we’re all booked solid and it worked well for us. Don’t miss out on this iconic Aussie pub
Cant comment on rooms but the food was average at best, served cold. Bangers and mash x 2 and kids spag bol, steak sandwich was good. Beer was coldish.
Wouldnt rush back. Preferred daly waters to this place.
Great pub to stop in at for a beer and feed. The Parmigiana was great and the beer was cold so can't ask for much more.
The place has some very interesting items to check out like the Buffalo that was in Crocodile Dundee and a massive Crocodile.
Also has some great info about the war time efforts in the area.
Lucky enough to call in on a Sunday. Markets opposite, if that's your go. The pub is great. Heaps of memorabilia, cold beer, good food and entertainment. Loved it.
What a great place what more can say other than Tim who also owns Dayly Waters puts on a fabulous time for all that stay in either of the 2 places it was so good we stayed 5 days it's the best place to stay to see Lichfield
Can't comment on the accommodation as we didn't stay there. But the pub was great. Lots of character. Food was pub food but was nice and fresh.
Drove past 3 pubs for a lunch here, very disappointed, Ceasar salad with avocado- croutons were soggy and the avocado was squeezed from a tube. Really, who would think to ask if the avocado was fresh? They're $1.50 @ the moment from any store.
At least inform us when foods aren't fresh so we can make another choice. Won't make the drive again.
Great place, we were there on a Sunday, great food and atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming. Also do not forget Charlie the stuffed buffalo from Crocodile Dundee Movie mounted in the bar.
Will go back.
Great Sunday lunch and very friendly staff, nice to see the small changes in the beer garden. Great to be able to have our dog with us
Perfect stop going from Tindal to Darwin!
Beers cold, foods tasty. Shaded seating. Can't complain!
Barra burger was a treat!
Wish they still had croc, but can't win them all!
Great food, lovely gardens, very relaxing and good service. Definitely worth a visit for lunch or dinner.
For an outback restaurant and accommodation this place is outstanding. But if you are after a higher standard keep driving to Darwin and shop around.
This place is an Oasis on the road. Perfect to stop and have a cold beer and really good Bistro style food if you are just passing or to stay a couple nights. I totally recommend Adelaide River Inn.
Haven't stayed here yet l'm sure we would love it just looking around yes we would stay here
A really good stop with some history attached. Food takes a while to come out so just enjoy the crocodile and buffalo display
Rooms are very old and plain but well priced. But great atmosphere in the outdoor dining areas with music playing continually and a great bar and souvenir shop and a restaurant.
Can't comment on the accommodation as I was only passing through. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are wonderful and the food is as good as you'll get at any awesome small-town pub.
Lots of fans to keep you cool, plenty of food to pick from, easy access from the highway, and heaps of seats.
Don't forget to get a picture with Jock.
Rooms look great but did not stay there. Meals were good and drinks really cold. Nice staff
Definitely an outback feel. Not to far from Darwin city, Adelaide river croc cruises or the hot springs. Hubby and I stayed in a little cabin, it was perfect for our needs, Air conned, clean, comfy bed, fridge and cooking facilities. The only suggestion I would make is to have air freshnesr or plug ins inside the cabins as it did smell a little of moth balls. There is a swimming pool, a lovely eating area and the food cooked at the Diggers Restaurant, again not a lot to look at from the outside, but the food was absolutely perfect and well presented. Compliments to the Chef. It would be a great touch though if there was a breakfast offered, another downside, I feel offering a breakfast would absolutely be spot on as most patrons are travelling through. The staff were very friendly also. A very enjoyable stay indeed. Thank you so much. We will definitely be returning.
