Yarrangobilly Caves Thermal Pool reviews
46Not worth the detour. Road in and out is bad. Staff not friendly. Changing room packed with people even though 4 people max allowed.
Hidden gem, I'd recommend going when the weather is cooler to get the full effect of the consist 27° water, also the main pool is deep (2.5m and I think close to 1.9m in the "shallow" end) but there is a toddler pool too. There is a 10minute walk from the carpark to the pools which appears to be a fire trail, so it is like an unsealed road but very steep. Look out for snakes in warmer weather and don't forget sun cream. Bins are provided down by the pool also
Lovely thermal pools after a day of hiking in the region.
Quite a climb back up the hill after, so take your water bottle
Visit the caves, then take a dip in the pool.
The caves and pool are an all day event and well worth the visit. Be sure to book for the guided cave tours to avoid disappointment.
Full of people smoking, drinking, littering, shouting. Water was murky and off-putting. We left after about 10 minutes. I guess new years day was the wrong time to visit. We drove 2hrs out of our way so it was pretty disappointing. It looks like it could be really nice on a quiet day, but for us it was gross.
Great facility. Only down side to it that the walk from the parking lot is a bit far. About 700m down hill which you than have to walk back up, with 2 kids that is a bit far.
