Yarrangobilly Caves Thermal Pool reviews
46We visited this spot after a little road trip down. The thermal pool is an absolute awesome find. The water is a nice 27 degrees. It was slightly busy and less of a ‘secret spot’ with lots of kids everywhere. The facilities aren’t great, quite dark and outdated but still works.
Really impressive caves. The guided tour was really fantastic. The pool was fresh and lovely on a hot summer day.
A lovely location to explore. Please be mindful, park parking has to be purchased for $4 a day at the visitor centre (before parking at the thermal pool). Additional activities such as cave tours can also be organised at the visitors centre
The pool was lovely. The water didn’t feel as warm as 27° however I assume this is as we went on a warm day. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend visiting here
There are gravel roads to and from the pool, however these were perfectly fine for my small car to handle.
Gorgeous even in the rain.
We visited on a Tuesday and despite the busy car park found it to be both quiet and magical. I only wish I’d planned to stay much longer.
After the carpark you will have to walk around 12-15 mins depending upon yourself.
Coming will take time as it is quite steep but the gravelled road will take you down no need get off the road.
Make sure you don’t forget your slippers as the ground is too cold to walk on after you take off your shoes.
Water was around 24-27 degree.
We visited there after we completed our trip from snowy mountains.
It was relaxing warm and soothing.
There’s good place to sit and have your lunch/breakfast.
Nearby river as attractions as well.
Overall it was good experience.
Most excellent part of Australia's High Country.
An ever changing Natural Environment. Cool in Summer, cooler in Winter.
The White Winter Wonderland with the Snow around the thermal pool/s. Stripe off and skinny dip into the warm about 30 degree pool. Not quiet, a sauna. But invigorating experience. Semi wild kangaroos abound / bounding around.
Nice place to go for a swim in cool weather as the water temperature is always warm. The water source is from a natural underground spring
Nice. Natural area and the pool is well maintained. A lots of improvements now. Thanks to NSW govt.
Great place for a swim. I had a great day even though the weather was about 5 degrees Celsius.
While a thermal pool it is not a hot spring so adjust your expectations accordingly, and you'll have a great time. The main pool is 1.7m at it's shallowest and 2.5m for most of it, so only go if you know how to swim.
The 700m walk from the carpark is steep so some level of fitness is required. The change rooms and toilets are basic as you might expect from a national park.
What a great place!
We had Josh as our cave guide, this young fella was a wealth of knowledge about everything in and around the National Park nothing was a problem answered everything anyone asked. Highly recommend taking a trip out there.
We had the best time exploring the caves and then taking a walk to the thermal pools. The pools themselves are so beautiful and the surrounding natural waterways are stunning. The walk back up the hill is an absolute killer… but take it slow and all good.
Pool was 27°C
Very cold when you go outside!
Visit of the caves was great with nice guide.
Only went for the thermal pool. A little disappointing. Not as warm as I thought it would be.
Lovely thermal pool a cool 27 degrees
Walk down was ok going back was a bit of a challenge quite steep but worth a look
Amazing in its own right, do add the caves / river loop to your trip to the pools, it’s worth the detour.
Yarrangobilly Thermal Pools were delightful and refreshing. We did the walk from the main carpark and then returned via the Thermal Pools carpark. It was a very pleasant walk with an awesome swim in the middle. The pools themselves are really good. Water bubbler, rubbish bins, toilets and change rooms are available at the pool.
One of the best natural thermal pool I have ever visited. The water is warm and heated 27 degrees throughout the year. So calm, beautiful and relaxing place. Just 5-10 min walk from car park.
Crystal clear waters. Fantastic. Must do the river walk back with small diversion to one of the caved.
Pretty nice but a long walk from the carpark. Even worse for some back up hill. Water is not that thermal but still a good swimming spot
I thought the water was cold? But don't worry the walk back uphill will definitely warm you up?
