Love West Mayfield but it is so freezing in this place. Have overheard ppl discussing and male security staff having a laugh about it. Adjust your damn air con. Not hard.

Went for Christmas lunch - it was disgusting- waiting in line for an HOUR just to ORDER
(the poor elderly standing there for that long) - ONE person taking orders! Totally disorganised & disgusting meals for the TOP DOLLAR paid

$20 for seven prawns (which you had to peel yourself- some lettuce and a very very small container of tartare sauce!
Chicken schnitzel for $36 the size was the palm of your hand & MOSTLY CHIPS &
a small bowl of DRY SALAD
Would NOT RECOMMEND this RUBBISH to anyone - go somewhere else - the whole table of 10 people were VERY DISAPPOINTED with the meals & expensive prices we all paid.

Thanks to Elizabeth and you amazing magicians in the kitchen at Texas BBQ.ribs/steak combo beat my brother in law who, despite his diminutive stature, is renowned for his ability to put a feed away. Elizabeth, you are a consummate professional.we'll be back!

Went for lunch Xmas day. Told I didn't have to book. There were 2 of us. Arrived and there was a line up from one side of club going to Bourke. Stood in line for over an hour. Given a docket for dessert order that had to be picked up at Bistro when finished main. OMG! FOOD WAS COLD AND DISGUSTING! Then went to get dessert and they had run out! I WAS OVER IT. WENT OFF MY HEAD! Duty manager spoke to me, said he wasn't expecting so many people, told him I was told I didn't need to book. Said they were booked out although still taking walk ins. WHAT IS IT A NAIL BAR, OR JUST CUTS! I said if you can't cater for the customers, let them know when they come in all booked out. I demanded a refund and he gave me one for the desserts only as he said I had partly eaten my main. The salad was untouched, no dressing, full of lettuce that was brown. THEY WERE SERVING THE DESSERTS IN PLASTIC CONTAINERS! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN! WHAT A JOKE! XMAS DAY IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HAPPY DAY. WILL BE CERTAINLY LETTING PEOPLE KNOW ON SOCIAL PLATFORMS ABOUT THIS. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!

My first time at Wests Mayfield since their renovations. Very helpful staff at the front desk. The lunch was promptly cooked but the portions were rather small, the pepper sauce was virtually tasteless, and the chips were very dry. All the staff were very friendly and hospitable. A good place to catch up with friends.

Normally pretty good place to eat but if raffles are on in the main eatery area they maybe short on tables and up to an hour delay on food. Check first, plenty of free parking & friendly staff.

Great club, Debbie on the front desk very helpful and Toni and his female co worker (name unknown) excellent entertainment with the bingo today (Thursday). And great food in the restaurant served by friendly staff.

Nice and quiet on Tuesday night. Good Crumbed Lamb Cutlet special! Delicious Lamb shanks in Winter! Menu changes every season!

Enjoyable meal and atmosphere, lovely club, with plenty of room to spread out and not feel like people are on top of you.

The cafe outside gave me a burnt coffee ask for another one gave me another burnt coffee and my friend was complaining about there order was wrong they weren't listening to what she said

When you are looking forward to dinner and its not what was promised it's disappointing.paid for truffled chicken Snitty.no truffle found anywhere.hubby didn't receive his gravy either. I don't understand how the simple things are missed when it's printed on the docket.took ages to get all our meals also.

I went to the club on Saturday night and didn't enjoy the meal at all it was wrong I ordered a gluten free grilled chicken burger with lettuce, carrot and chesse and ordered dianne sauce was told that there was no gf buns left. When I got the meal it was very different I got grilled chicken and vegetables and gravey and was very disappointed but didn't want to make a fuss about it and you we busy as well. When I got home it when straight through me and wasn't feeling the best. I am a member of the club as well. Sorry I forgot to mention that I have Coeliac as well

Deb in reception is an absolute legend! She went over and above in helping me arrange a gift card for a mates birthday so he could enjoy an amazing looking birthday feast at the Texas Barbecue.

Great location. Food delicious. Large meals. Coffee and desserts plenty to chose from. Plenty of seating through out the club. Plenty of Pokies to play. Staff Friendly. Plenty of undercover parking, beside the Indoor Heated Pool. Hotel accommodation.

My dinner keeps me awake with heartburn so I am leaving this comment. I had checked the reviews and it looked OK so I went. This is the second time ever in my life I couldn’t finish a burger and the first time was when I not knowingly ordered a chicken burger needless to say I don’t like chicken. I cannot stop thinking the meal was such a waste of meat! Fries was soaked in oil. I wouldn’t comment on price it is not cheap or even average at all but 4$ for ketchup! Why?
I travel a lot for work and I don’t even spend my own money but this is robbery with the simplest description. Definitely was my last time in here also in the hotel! I have had a lot more pleasing food in Neecastle many times, this one is particularly disappointing!

Food was not pleasant, fish dry and over cooked. Service was so slow and our coffees were forgotten, had to ask twice foe them. Needs a lot of improvement.

Waited over 1 and a half hours for fathers day lunch, it destroyed our fathers day. It wasn't even busy. Worst place to go if you want a quick feed. I don't recommend this place to anyone. EDIT: This ended up being our last father day with our dad before he died and all I can think of is how this place made our last fathers day with our dad the worst fathers day ever.

Love it, it just keeps getting better and better! A great place to come for dinner - heaps of choice, from a cheaper bistro with all the staples, to a more expensive restaurant with excellent food. Become a member and you get 10% off meals and drinks, which is a bargain, easily paying for itself. Large, modern, friendly, and all-round great venue for eating out in Newcastle.
