Western Plains Cultural Centre reviews
38Really interesting heritage items layed out very nicely. We loved the huge hay cart. Highly recommend the Cafe there too.
Clean, refreshing, friendly staff, overall great place to visit to soak up some culture and see examples of the local artists.
Only problem was we didn't have time to grab a bite to eat, the meals we saw looked delicious so we left feeling a little green with envy.
Signage to get there could be improved. No sign on corner of Darling and the park pointimg towards the centre. Cafe is good. Changing exhibitions.
Great place to spend time looking over history of Dubbo.and the art center is well werth a look.
It’s worth visiting this place if you ever visit Dubbo. Information desk are polite and helpful. Content are more diverse and educational. This place still need to be more inclusive on indigenous culture, living and heritage.
Had a nice lunch at the cultural centre today. Great coffee n chicken ceasur wraps. Plenty of people there to.
The history museum is very comprehensive and local so there is great relevance. The time line of the main street shops was interesting. The art gallery had 4 different areas of display. Art is subjective and we loved the local hsc students work! But wait there is more.the Cafe here serves some of the best coffee in town.
Good experience on side of the wings. Left one has a art galleries and right one has museum. It also have a preserved classroom on museum side which bring us back to memories of our high school days. My little one excited to see the big cart that transports bulls. Overall good place to visit indoors.
It's great for a town as small as Dubbo. The staff is good, the history is well maintained in the museum.
The cultural centre is in tune with current times and displays the in time stuff.
Worth a visit if you are in Dubbo.
Such an interesting place! Loved the school room. Learned a lot. Definitely recommend coming here if you have 15mins + to spare in Dubbo.
Only had a meal there. Great surroundings. Good service. Pleasant staff and great meals. Was able to cater to my partner's gluten free requirements.
Amazing displays, well presented and displaying amazing various art work by HSC students. Pleasant and welcoming staff at reception and at the cafe. Highly recommend.
Site of an old school and features a cafe with a view. Houses the Dubbo Regional Museum (including a preserved classroom) on the one side, and a Community Arts Center on the other. Both feature temporary and longer term exhibitions. Free entry.
Fantastic museum. Well planned displays with good information. Food, service and staff in cafe was great.
I thought it was excellent, we went for the sustainable living expo and it was very good. Lots happening.
Typical country town type of museum with nicely laid out items mainly of local history and culture. The art gallery is of quite a high standard with regular changes of exhibitions. Well worth a visit. I have not eaten at the restaurant but it seems to be popular.
The food and exhibitions are always nice here. It's a great place to spend a wintry afternoon in the sun sitting outside at the cafe area. Staff and service are always excellent. I"ve had many a nice meal at the Outlook Cafe.
Small gallery and museum. Went there because the building was a friend's old high school. Good coffee from the cafe and don't forget the centre closes at 4pm
