100% recommend Vital Building and Pest. I've had two building and pest inspections conducted by Peter and both have been completed in a timely and detailed manner. During the inspection that lasts about an hour (depending on size of property), he will examine the property and point out anything that he thinks is an issue. If the building is of good quality he will of course point that out too.

After the inspection he will send you a detailed report with all the info along with photos in a very timely manner.

The thing that my partner and I really appreciated was that during the inspection, if there are any improvements that can be done to the property, Peter will offer his own suggestions. For instance, maybe you can change the layout of the bathroom/laundry and add a shower to the laundry section instead and move the laundry to another section. We found that very helpful.

He is extremely professional, kind and wants the best outcome for his clients.

Peter provided pretty prompt service and mainly his report is awesome. My solicitor also praised his work and took his contact from me so he can use. That tells everything. I would definitely recommend his service.

I purchased a property where this company had provided a visual inspection (my name is not on Vital's database as I was not the client, the vendor was). It did not flag any issues in the house for termite damage. It took me 5 minutes to identify obvious termite damage. I pushed a screw driver through an exposed structural member. I would not place any reliance on this Company's pre purchase inspections.

Peter had done a recent inspection for us. He was always approachable via phone and informative in a language we understood. He did find an issue and explained what range of problems it could be hiding. Due to the house being vacant for some time it would appear to be in the more expensive (possible termite/moisture/rotted timber) problem category.
