Varda Spa

I cannot fault my experience at Varda Spa. They accommodated my booking request at short notice, they welcomed me warmly and the massage was heavenly. I will be back!

Hi booked a hot stone massage but the lady used her elbow the majority of the time which was very uncomfortable, and the next day I woke up with pain in my neck and back. I contacted the spa but they refused to respond, so I was very disappointed with my experience.

I decide to have a massage at Varda and not at the 5 star hotel i was staying in. I had the most beautiful massage, such a fantastic therapist and a great price. I later learnt my therapist also worked at the Hotel.

Cannot recommend Varda's services enough.
They are really good, everyone of their masseuses, with rooms where you can actually relax in; there's virtually no outside noise. They also offer a really good range of massage styles for you to choose exactly what you want.

Their price for one hour relaxing massage is cheaper than shopping centre parlours, which don't offer accoustic isolation at all, and sometimes even surprise you with a fee for requesting oil for the massage.
Furthermore, Varda always has some special going on, so it's even cheaper than usual.

When finished, you are offered tea as well, which is a nice touch!

I've had massages at different places before, but this had to be the best! I booked for a 1hr remedial massage with Daisy. She was able to apply the right amount of pressure, and it felt like a proper full-body massage. I will definitely be back!

My partner and I had a couples massage tonight (Friday 25th August 2023), and it was AMAZING!
The only thing I didn’t enjoy greatly was the initial hot oil going onto my body as I’m very sensitive to heat, but once they got going it was fantastic!
Would 100% recommend! Our masseuses hands were soft but firm and it was a relaxing and perfect way to end our 2 weeks in Sydney!

I had an amazing Thai Massage at Varda Spa. Beny did an amazing job and the girl at the reception is lovely.

My mates told me not to take my wife to a Thai massage for her birthday. Take her to a nice hotel spa they said. Oh how wrong they were! Amazing experience! Both of us were super impressed with the service, massage techniques and the champers and chocolates complimentary at the end! Would highly recommend!

I use to love going to the York st spa but the new Bathurst St is horrible. I went on the weekend and I had a girl that barely spoke English and did the majority of the massage with with her elbow. It was very painful she kept digging her elbow into my spine and I kept telling her to reduce the tension but she didn’t listen. She didn’t even massage the areas according to the consult sheet. An hour after the treatment I was in so much pain and my right hip and lower back locked up I was in a lot of pain. Tried to call Varda spa but no response. I’m still seeing the pysio so I can walk normal again. The staff in Bathurst St seemed to be all young girls they need more training in customer service and how to do professional treatments. The rooms are very tight as well to give a proper treatment. Staff need to get off there mobile phones and service customers professionally.

Just went there mins ago. The ambient was great, theres no greeting no smile from the front girl, the massage it self was inconsistent, the therapist will massage me on the right for a couple mins but not on my left side, she didnt even touch my left side neck, same to the other parts of the body. Some parts was okay, the other parts was not even touch for a min.

It was a disappointing experience for me as i thought they have better standards but the massage lacked quality and its not what they advertised. Went there for the special 90 minutes massage which supposed to have included 60 mins full body massage, 15 mins indian head massage and 15 minutes foot reflexology. Massage was below average. The masseuses seemed to be waiting for time to finish and doesn’t really pay attention to what they are doing. There is no rhythm or flow to their massage. I was looking forward to the 15 mins head massage but there was nothing special about it and she only massaged my head for 5 mins. The girl just repeatedly rubbed the left side of my neck ten times on the same spot and same on the other side. What about the scalp massage? More of a hair massage than scalp, i could barely feel the massage on my scalp. The foot massage was more of a leg rub with occasional rub on the feet - pls don’t call this service reflexology. We cant tell you on the spot how to do your job well. Staff should trained well and provide a good service. I will definitely not come back to this place.

Website and called in to double check whether they have health funds rebate, and the answer was yes. When we got to the place and the owner told us they don’t do that anymore.
Went ahead and paid anyway since we were already there, but the massage just wasn’t close to what it used to be.
Very disappointed as I had a very good experience back then at the York St store.

Dont waste your money. Go elsewhere. Asked for focus on arms & legs she kept going back to my neck. Asked 3 times to not do the neck but arms & legs.

They also wanted payment upfront i didn't mind so much but had walk out of a massage but this wasn't worth the time & money upfront.

We recently visited their new location in the city, and they have once more done an outstanding job. Very clean, professional, friendly and the massages are always exactly what we’re asking for. Very good price and even if you’re running 10 minutes late you get your full massage time. Can highly recommend!

We went in for a couples massage. The place is quite small with limited sound proofing and varying levels of professionalism. My partner's therapist was swapped out about 15 minutes into the session as another couple had special needs. This was quite disruptive as they promised the other couples comfort over ours which made business sense but was contrary to the point of the service - we weren't relaxed. The therapists whispered a bit during the session, the couple taking loudly while waiting outside our door altogether made the experience one wev wouldn't return for. The staff are friendly but we certainly did not get the experience we were expecting when we booked.

Friendly, attentive staff. Very good massage with a combination of techniques to relax and knead out tight areas. We had a couples massage, purchased via Groupon which was really enjoyable. Thank you.

Had the couples massage with my wife. Excellent massage and friendly staff. Only tip, if you want to shower afterwards then please let them know in advance. I would definitely go again! Highly recommended

Have been here with a groupon voucher which is a very good price for an exceptional massage. Definitely one of the better places I've been to, the tea they serve you afterwards is a treat too!

I came here last week and the spa here is very nice and relaxing. Suri, the kind lady that provided the spa experience that day was very down to earth and friendly and always greeted me with a smile. I would definitely come again for the experience but even more for the wonderful service.
