Tindale Family Practice reviews
25 I used to go to this practice.
Until it was more of a walk-in clinic for bulk billed patients.
To book an appointment the day before, you will be charged $$ if you book on the day it's free, hoping there is a spot with the Dr you want, the amazing female Dr there is always booked out I got her on the off chemce walking in one day and was never able to get her again, because people will pay the day before for her.
It's such a shame.
I don't goto this practice anymore as I have 3 kids and can't be sitting around for hours.
Have been a patient at the practice for over 37 years and have always found staff and Doctors to be professional and caring.
I hate that you have to make an appt to see your doctor and pay. What’s happens if you wake up unwell on the day. Just changed doctors and used to be able to get in to see them now have to ring on the day and then on hold for over 10 mins and no answer. Tried ringing from 8am phones not ringing because everyone is trying to call at the same time so they can see their dr on the day. Very frustrating.
We spent a maximum of 5 minutes with Dr. We were rushed, not listened to and told it could be ‘anything’, then dismissed as if we were wasting his time and told to come back if it symptoms persist. Because a two week illness isn’t something to worry about!
The doctors at Tindale they are all great they help you work through your medical issues they don’t judge you they’re fantastic, especially Dr. David Chow, Dr. Ulysses Crosson and Dr Catherine Bailey they are the best doctors in Penrith. The receptionist I think a name was Lisa she’s always so polite and helpful.
My husband called the practice this morning as needed to follow up on information which has been delayed since August this year, receptionist so rude has no communication skills and I have been in the practice waiting to see GP and hear her on the phone so rude, how she got this position is beyond me, the reception staff that have been there for years are great but not the latest ones, really need a change in staff
All but two reception staff I’ve dealt with on numerous occasions are rude and seemingly inconvenienced by your need to see a dr. There are some good Drs and there are some useless Drs. I highly recommend Dr Bailey but it’s a paid consult and you need to book in advance. She is the only reason we stay with tindale.
Called in the morning to see if they offer spirometry (to see if I have asthma), as they were not offering this test earlier due to Covid. Nurse told me they are still not providing this service because of Covid (even though we are allowed to walk around without masks or any precautions on) BUT told me to come see doctor and see what he/she says. Booked the appointment, told doctor I want to get spirometry done, she called nurse, nurse says we are not doing it, doctor conveys the same message and tells me to go to hospital, as spirometry is not safe for the staff, THANK YOU. Wasted my time, but I am sure they charged it on my Medicare. I was clear when I called what I wanted, I expected a clear answer. Rather they wanted me to come and see doctor to get the same answer which I could have received it over the phone. Have some respect of people’s time and health. If you are not offering the service, don’t waste my or your time, it’s a very horrendous way to fill in your appointments. Never coming back here.
While Dr Bailey is lovely and quite helpful, the actual practice staff are horrendous. Rude, callous, defensive, never helpful and purposefully obtuse.
If you can find a practice that isn't run by these muppets, go there instead and save yourself the heartache.
My partner went there for her declining mental health, basically got told she is overreacting and just don't overreact. Great example of a place that needs to be shut down
Sadly, the receptionists need lessons in customer friendly service and common curtesy to their customers. After being told to be quiet & listen, then hung up on the phone. This was because of an appointment booking errors by them. I experienced bad attitude, ebrupt and rude service.
I visited a few years ago, having to attend frequently for a pilonidal sinus wound. The nurses were absolutely fantastic, experienced, and had excellent skill and knowledge. Haven’t had a problem since. As a doctor myself very grateful.
Dr. Wong has been my doctor for over 20 years, has saved my life and you couldn't ask for a better doctor. He gets to the cause to whatever is wrong and treats it! You're feeling better back up and kicking, while others would be still guessing what's wrong.
Having recently moved to the area, finding new service is not always an easy process. Found this practice, online Christmas '21 as we step into another period of Covid restrictions.
The front desk staff and Doctor we visited were wonderfully courteous and professional. Highly recommend this practice.
I would like to pay my highest compliment to Dr Park. I have a chronic condition and always feel that Dr Park takes his time to listen carefully to any of my concerns with a caring, considerate and thoughtful mannerism. He is one of the most thorough GPs I've ever encountered and treats all people in a highly respectful and kind manner. Dr Park is an absolute credit to Tindale Practice.
A very busy practice, parking is impossible in busy times but knowing the quiet times means easier access. We have been seeing them for over 35 years. A new crop of doctors are wonderful as are most of the long term GP's. Great nurses in the, treatment room and a pathologist on site. Go to their webpage for all their services and for online bookings.
I saw Dr Crosson after a friend recommended him. What an amazing doctor. I felt so comfortable, his caring and investigative manner is excellent. I've needed a great doctor for a long time and now I finally have one. Im going to have all my medical records moved here now. Thank you so much for making me feel like a person and not a Medicare number. I deeply appreciate it Dr Crosson. I was sick of other doctors telling me to take panadol and rest.
Dr Ahmed is the very best doctor. She genuinely cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to help you.
I’ve seen another doctor here who is so awful. She was so rude and indifferent to me. She sent me for a brain scan and told me she’d call with the results, but never heard back at all. Even if no news is good news, I still needed help managing my symptoms and finding the cause.
Ask for Dr Ahmed though, she’s wonderful!
Only thing they could really improve on (as far as I can tell) is their parking. Other than that, everyone is friendly and do their best.
As a patient of over 26 years I found that the service provided was 2nd to none. Naturally not all doctors are equally proficient but the ones my wife & I used were professional & careing. The only drawback we found was that waiting times were sometimes long but that is to be expected in a very busy practice. We have moved to Qld and miss the familiar faces and favourity Drs especially Dr Wong.
