We don't do rent online and they have moved it to a place hard to get a park and they still use paper reciepts before It was convient to do at Any commonwealth bank did not matter where we were we could always find a commonwealth bank not a Maitland Mutral

I don’t normally post reviews but I wanted to share my own experience. This past week we dealt with Alana, we put an offer in on a house, it was accepted and were given less than 24 hours to agent exchange - this wouldn’t have been an issue but Alana provided a contract missing key information we needed, leaving our solicitor chasing and us unable to exchange. I made a request to extend the cool off period so could have some additional time to apply for the upcoming FHLDS. Received a call from John who explained he didn’t see that the request for a extra 5 days would be an issue and would talk to the owners/their solicitor. Not long after that call, I received a call from Alana who was extremely unprofessional - She absolutely blasted me for making this request. I was extremely flustered and couldn’t believe I was being spoken to in such a manner. She sounded offended I’d even consider thinking that and ended her call by telling me I needed to get “my affairs in order” like the underbidders did.

The following day I received a call from John to tell me that the owners had decided to go with the under bidders and not us. Of course this was extremely upsetting, I was heart broken that we had lost the house and that there was no opportunity to further negotiate or discuss. Our broker then confirmed that after speaking to the agency, that the owners needed to proceed with a specific contract and we could not provide them that but the under bidders could. As upsetting as this was we understood and while I don’t know if this is something Alana knew about when we met with her on Monday (if we knew we wouldn’t have made an offer) but regardless my experience with her has been upsetting and quite disheartening in our hunt for our first home.

That being said I did find John good to deal with, even with delivering the bad news he was empathic and understanding.
I’m not sure if we would use this agency in the future or recommend others too but if we did, I wouldn’t be comfortable exchanging with/recommending Alana.
