The Wharf Local reviews
54Service here is just next level. The food? It's above that! Just need a place for the swag and I'd live there. The atmos at this place is SO good.
Our group of seven walked the Kangarutha Track today, ending a fun morning out at this wonderful establishment. Efficient and friendly service, great views and food. Thank you so much for a really enjoyable experience.
A stunning five star location with the most nonchalant Basil Fawlty style service. The "art" for sale includes what looks to be a failed Year 2 paper mache lesson with the scariest and outrageously priced freakshow pieces ever produced. Add in uncomfortable chairs, oddly shaped tables and views of bins to create a less than welcoming atmosphere in what could be an uber cool space. They will need to lift their game or be under new management before I step foot in this disaster of an eatery again. Go outside for a better experience, the views are amazing.
Beautiful location and venue however service was so slow. Waited over an hour for a donut and toasted sandwiches. There was no apparent system in place for service.
Good food and service in a beautiful location. Fun to sit and watch the fishermen running back and forth trying to catch big kingies
Good coffee and egg tarts!
Food and coffee are good but very slow service. I was waiting about 45 mins for my coffee and cake.
The history of the area is well laid out at the museum followed by a great cup of coffee at the artisans cafe.love tis spot
Really good coffee in a really fabulous location. As kids we used to get in here and look around.it was kinda scary back then. Not so now. An upmarket gallery/giftshop/café with nice cakes and beverages. Yes it's sometimes a bit slow but if you're in that much of a hurry you can always have a cup of instant at home.
Great cakes and coffee. Authentic to the environment though it was a bit cold and airy however they have wonderful rugs to keep you warm.
Beautiful place and staff are lovely. So many interesting art pieces to look at and potentially buy.
Highly recommend this place
We were group of five people and each of us ordered a bit of snack which included toasties, coffee and hot chocolates. The thing that stood among all the things we ordered was the hot chocolate. It was right amount of sweet with appropriate creaminess in the milk. The chocolate flavour was prominent and i would say it is one of the best Hot chocolates i have drank in Australia. The only issue with the restaurant was their service speed which was extremely slow. The wait made us anxious but i would say the hot chocolate was worth the wait.
Great location (parking isnt easy during holiday time). A bit slow on making the coffee and not a very big menu. But the food we recieved was great! The decor and setting is also amazing. Though no highchair. Worth a visit but a bit pricey. Staff are friendly.
40 minutes for a coffee! No thanks next. Need to put some speedy staff on that can clear the tables fast as they were totally full with everyone's plates and Coffee cups. Had banana bread on the menu and couldn't buy it as they had none, then ask for the cinnamon banana bread and had none either.could I get a ham cheese and tomato toasted and the young girl said no it's only the ones in the fridge which look tired and dried. Looks like a great place for sweets only. I'm sure it's a lovely place to eat, but really needs to pick up the pace.
Great view though
Rather lovely cafe and deli in a gorgeous historical building. The wharf and warehouse, which have been lovingly and very picturesquely restored, date from 1860 and is the last heavy timber structure dating from the coal steamer age. Great food and coffee, and the views of the surrounding coastline as well as the crystal clear waters, abundant with marine wildlife, are incredible. Well worth a trip.
Great place, great in house made food and salads.large variety of cakes, tarts and muffins. Friendly staff and great views looking back to Tathra
