The Rockpool reviews
42Norah head beach and rock pool. My girls said: best rock pool ever. You have to time it right as with low tide the pool is empty. High tide it can be a bit rough with waves but in between tides it's perfect. We've spend most of our day on the right side of the beach next to the rock pool. With low tide the rocks expose themselves and the kids love exploring all the little under sea aquariums that stay behind between the rocks. You can find sea urchins, little star fishes, anemones and little fish swimming around. Lots of shells too when it's low tide.
Great rock pool for families and children. Lovely sandy beach section near the pool and public amenities and toilets. This rockpool and beach at Norah Head is not patrolled by surf lifesaving. Very crowded during holiday season.
This is a great place for kids but watch the tide level as there is almost no water towards low tide.
Nice place been a local for years always go to the beachs around budgewoi and Toukley perfect for families and young kids
Love visiting with family. Easy access to everything. Children loved the day and it's nice to have a smaller space than the whole beach for them to play.
Gorgeous part of the central coast beautiful little bay here at cabbage tree rockpool also beautiful ocean to swim in nice and handy to the cafe up the hill or steps.
Great spot to enjoy the sun, fish, and having fun in the water with my 4 year old grandson.
This used to be my top favorite spot for swimming with the kids (until we've discovered Naru beach).
Still with only 10min away from home it is unbeatable spot to be on a hot day.
Whilst offering toilet & showers, plus cafe at the top of the stairs.
The parking can be a major pain point. So come early - like 7-8am early.
The rock pool boasts beatiful clean water, sandy bottom and minimum waves during tides change over.
It is not deep, so perfect to try out snorkelling for kids.
Beach itself is tiny, so again coming early is advisable.
Overall it is a great spot.
What a great place to go for a dip, quite area but gets a bit busy when it's sunny, rock pool for the smaller children, toilet s and change room.the only problem is there is not enough. Parking, and the little there is patrolled by council rangers, very regular! Park the right way or cop the fine. I love this area for the family and friends, coffee shop above the rock pool stairs, see you there!
So good for families with kids as it's shallow and easy to swim in.
Can get packed and hard to find car park and a spot to sit when busy
Hubby recently took me here to show me his local beach when growing up. It's a beautiful bay with gentle waves. Looks lovely for swimming. There were 2 ladies fishing, surfers and a fella with a metal detector. Nice place to visit,
Great spot for dinner by the water. Hate to live nearby, 5 cars came down in the 30mins we were there, and they all left doing burnouts.
Great for kids, clean shallow tidal pool with plenty of space to splash around or practice snorkeling.
What a great place to spend on a beautiful summer's day with family and friends. The public holiday on this occasion was perfect weather so lots of people, actually made made a great atmosphere. No body with any issues, just people out enjoying themselves and being respectful of others. Another great location on The Central Coast.
Great place to bring little kids the rock pool are good in high tides. Nice spot for snokleing lots of baby string rays.

Pro tip - Head past the rock pool for a more quiet and secluded beach, as well as walking along the rocks up to the lighthouse.
Lovely beach with No waves. Gud for kids. Only the walk from the car park to beach is very very steep.
Check tides before bringing little ones that may be frightened of the rough water. Warning low tide the pool empties completely.
Not a disability or elderly friendly place due to the lack of parking and very steep hill which you walk down. If you are able to park then the rock pool is great for relaxation with the beach part (when i have gone) not being rough at all.
