I was underwhelmed by the experience. The entry to the Sheraton is spectacular, then you are seated toward the back in a room with little aircon and low chairs. The food was reasonable but not what I expect from a high tea. The buffet style didn’t excite.
There were 3 stations, one of which was basically a charcuterie board. The desserts weren’t amazing and there were no cucumber sandwiches - an important item in a high tea for me.
The scones were ok, but the cream was sitting under a hot lamp and wasn’t toppped up.
The tea service was great, you can try different teas and beverage top up’s and frequent.
Overall, I would not recommend. There are other places that do high tea better, even if you’re looking for the buffet style.

The beautiful may gave me the best service and made my night. She’s is an absolute asset to this company and more people need to know her. She made my night and it’s such a beautiful caring human who goes out of her way to make people feel special. Thank you may.

High tea with my daughters. TV with sport channel. Very disappointed with the food presented. Food was not of a quality we expected to be served at Sheraton. Cost was $260. We would definitely NOT recommend this venue to our relatives or friends.

Very disappointing, went for High Tea and ended up serving LIMITED buffet style. Services was poor, dirty glasses had to ask it to be changed. Ordered a glass of wine and only 1/4 glass. The only grace is the food itself was good, but the front house was terrible.
What a shame, this place USED TO have a very nice high tea years ago. Will not return.

Booked the high tea buffet a bit over a month ago, only to show up to discover that there was no buffet and apparently hadn't been for about four weeks. When pressed about why I wasn't informed that there would be no buffet I just got the same line about it being removed four weeks ago over and over again. The majority of the staff were unfriendly (with the exception of one server who was actually nice and made jokes) and really did not seem to want to be there. The coordination was astonishingly bad. We ordered some tea, only for them to come back and tell us it was out of stock. How they didn't know it was out of stock to begin with is beyond me, but also, like, it's a high tea, the tea is half of the point, tea doesn't go bad, how hard is it to keep it in stock. The server who seated us asked if we'd like some water to start, we said yes, and she just.never brought the water. The place was mostly empty, it wasn't like they were flat out keeping up with other customers. Despite the place being mostly empty it still managed to be loud, wouldn't want to be there if it was full.

The food was all right, but we showed up with the expectation of a buffet, it's just not the same thing. Even then, the quality of the food was inconsistent, one of the raspberry and white chocolate scones was significantly nicer than the other two, it was even a slightly different colour. Only one of the tarts had fairy floss/pashmak on it, despite the menu indicating that it should've been a standard feature.

The only feature that made this place unique is gone, if you want high tea, just go somewhere else.

Daughter's High tea with her friends was absolutely fantastic. Faultless! Will definitely be back

Terrible. Booked the buffet high tea and turned up to be told it's now just the basic high tea. No mention of changes on the booking confirmation. Their response was 'did no one call you'? The amount of food was very poor and we actually ate elsewhere 1 hour later. The scones were also stale and definitely not fresh.
As regulars this is very poor communication and false advertisement.

Christmas High Tea was absolutely terrible - the only reason this isn’t a one star review is in respect to it being Christmas Day.

The service was pretty poor all round, but the food was awful.

Beetroot quiche: dry thin ribbons of beetroot on top does not make a beetroot tart.

Sandwich: tiny square and thin finger - not fresh bread used and very stingy on with the fillings.

Crostini: stale, soft and chewy.

Cherry Scone: not cherry but a pink food dye used, we have to ask because we had an allergy at the table.

Scones: in general, these were dry, dense and more like bread rolls, when asked it was confirmed these were made the day before and reheated.

Sweets: in general these were “ok” pretty typical for a high tea, defiantly not inspiring.

Tea selection: not bad but the teas were received an hour after we sat and after we’d finished eating.

We expected more, much more. I think this can hardly be described as a “special” Christmas High Tea, perhaps the only thing “special” is that it was served on Christmas Day.

TERRIBLE! Arrived at the place to pick up high tea and they didn’t have the order ready. Ordered it over 3 weeks ago. Ordered 2 serves…vegetarian and non-veg… they only prepared non veg…luckily I double checked…they quickly chucked a lack lustre non veg platter together. The staff who were there were actually super helpful and brilliant. Got home and checked again…literally 2 small pieces of sandwiches…that’s it…rest were just sweets as they obviously didn’t have any ingredients. Also NO tea was provided. I highly suggest management to talk to the person who took the order. This is unacceptable and not worth the money. I had to buy more things from woolies to make up for it. The people who I had ordered the non veg for went home hungry with borderline diabetes.

There was enough variety to satisfy most. Some dishes were left too long and became cold. The table service was pretty poor considering it being at the Sheraton on the Park. Plates not cleared away glasses not refilled. The table started to look rather messy. Obviously floor staff are not properly 5 star trained. The $89 per head buffet was ok but using your card to pay will mean adding a surcharge.

Went for the weekend high tea, served buffet style. Very small selection of sweet and savoury items.

Savoury: falafel, arancini, mini chicken pies, finger sandwiches (smoked salmon, chicken & mayo, egg salad), three cheeses, salami, ham, watermelon & feta salad. Very average, I think the watermelon salad and the chicken sandwich were the best items.

Sweet: assorted cake slices, cheesecake, plain scones, date & orange scones, brownies, lemon meringue tart, cannoli, fruits & chocolate fountain
Most items were way too sweet. I usually love desserts but the only thing I bothered getting seconds for was the fruits and plain scones. There were quite a few fruit flies buzzing around however, which made it a bit unappealing.

The almond cap was pretty good.

Personally I don't think it was worth $80 for the limited range and quality. Much better high tea options elsewhere.

Service was alright when we were there but it was nearly impossible to contact them prior to our visit. Emails and phone calls both went unanswered, and the reception was unable to assist over the phone either.

We were pleasantly surprised with the high tea buffet and service after reading bad reviews. We had a lovely time on 15/10/22 at the gallery. The spread of the buffet was small but of good quality. The service from all the waitresses and the female manager on the day were superb. The setting was nice and relaxed. We will be back.

Had voucher for high tea, very disappointed.
When I booked I was told it was a buffet.
When we got there, the staff were pleasant but the food was definitely not worth the $80.
Has to ask for the wine and was limited to 1 cup of tea or coffee.
Not what I was expecting.

Horrible experience, i ordered their high tea at home and the children's high tea, the children's high tea was never delivered and it took multiple phone calls 5 hours later for someone to tell me they'll give me a refund (still waiting) the food that did arrive was nothing to rave about it was stale and dry and inedible.

I needed high tea, I needed it statim, and The Gallery provided it and in spades. Food excellent, as always; don't be surprised there's no one to greet you, they've moved that counter to the back of the gallery.

Very nice atmosphere and amazing service. The high tea was also great although would have been nice to have a bit more balance with sweet and savoury (most were sweet)

I don't know how some people gave this only 2 stars! The classics like the finger sandwiches and scones were delicious. And the entire selection/service was great.
