The Funky Parlour

My husband and I both get our hair cut here. Great atmosphere and Flick is so cool. I've had about 7 different styles through the years and Flick has made them look amazing every time.

I rang and booked in last minute and felicity was more than welcoming, and as for the studio, it’s fantastic, welcomes people to take at look around at the odds and bobs hanging around the place. Very unique. One of a kind! I had my hair styled by Ryan who seems to really enjoy and take his time with you even if others are waiting, it was a pleasure to meet him. He did a great cut. I got exactly what I wanted and will be returning. Give it a go.

I cannot recommend the funky parlour enough.
I went to another hair dresser who royally messed up my cut. (layers on one side not the other etc)
I called to see if they could fix someone else's mistake and they fit me within 20minutes of me calling no hesitation.
Flick persisted to fix the problem better than i could ever of hoped. The recut/fix is perfect!
Overall they were absolutely amazing, caring and professional. They made me feel welcome and at ease. Flick is meticulous, precise and a wealth of knowledge.
If you are thinking about trying them, do it!
I wont be going anywhere else in the future.

So we took our 8month old to have his first haircut today (27-4-21) & shockingly from the moment he got inside he was calm & relaxed watching everything going on.

Then it was actually time to get cutting!
Flick was looking after our little man and introduced herself to him, before you knew it she had him in the Lightning McQueen race car seat with a steering wheel and buttons that made car noises which he was pretty impressed with!

But the kicker for us was that Flick took the time to talk to him and tell him what was happening.
She showed him what the vibration of the clippers was going to be like on the back of his hand.

The whole cut I think lasted about 5-10minutes?
Every now and again he would stand up to see what else was happening in the shop and Flick just kept going. (I feel she knows time is of the essence with young ones)

She never pushed things to far and told us she would introduce other techniques on the next cut, but didn’t want to risk it being a bad experience for him on the first round.

My wife and I walked out in amazement of the entire experience ourselves.
They provided a little bag for his first hair & gave him a certificate.

I’ve never done a review in my life, but for any parents dreading the first cut this is your place!

I had my first treatment session today and I felt comfortable and at ease from the moment I walked in. My hair feels ahmazing can’t wait to see my results at the end of the funky parlour 6 week challenge!

I love The Funky Parlour. It was my first time there and honestly I have never received service as good as The Funky Parlour offers. They were warm and welcoming. Flick is incredibly knowledgeable and really asks questions to ensure she is giving you exactly what your after. Ryan was great also honestly the best head massage I've ever received from a hairdresser. I would definitely recommend The Funky Parlour. Thankyou Flick and Ryan

Dissaponted. Booked my daughter in 9am Monday as a welcome home from the Army gift, she was sent away & asked to return @10. Paid full price for Mani, Pedi & gel to have non professional treatment. Dead skin not removed, massage incomplete & polish outside nail bed & lifting off sale day. Considering how special I said this gift was.so dissaponted!

Id recommend for males: skilled n friendly young man does mens hairdresser/barber etc
