This place is amazing! Had lunch today, it was a big serving, very tasty & also included the best vegan brownie (had to get it T/A because I was so full) Only $13 too! The staff was really friendly:)

The Bhaki Tree is a great place to meet up with your family and friends for a good feed that everyone can afford. The food is amazing and there is so much to have I would definitely recommend to go there on Friday for $10 for dinner and Saturday night for $15 you can. The people that run at are so lovely. There is quite a lot of seating available but it always packed so get there early so you don't miss out! They also have yoga and meditation classes available before dinner.

The Bhakti Tree is more than just a restaurant it is a sanctuary and a place to recieve deep blessings and wisdom. I am so thankful to everyone there for making my time in Newcastle so special. Deepest gratitude. One of the owners, Abhay, is always happy to share his vast wisdom and understanding of vedic philosophy to anyone who is interested. It will change your life!

What a fab find. Such good food. Feeding body and soul in the ole industrial heartland. Very special and surprising here. Deserves loyal healthy patronage. The food was very reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and polite.

On the day that we went the buffet was a gluten curry, veg fried rice, roast potatoes, salad, popadoms and a desert, all of which were super tasty! Three of us had the all you can eat option ($15), two of us had the one serve option ($12) plus some roti and poori for the table to share. No complaints, will definitely go again!

Dined there today as first timers & left with a full belly & a huge smile, such welcoming staff, tasty food & lovely atmosphere.

I showed up here 7pm Wednesday hoping to have dinner. The tables were cleared away and a meditation class was running. Be warned, you need to book for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesdays.
I love the food wnd friendly atmosphere here, but it can't be treated like a normal restaurant where you show up to eat at dinner time. Friday nights there is chanting, so dinner is late again too.

I can proudly call myself a regular customer. Feels like home in quiet little Newy. The Friday night buffet is a must try.

Great food, great price, great location. I was introduced to the Bhakti tree through their lunch supplied to the local uni and the quality continues in the cafe. An easy buffet-style lunch that includes curry, rice, salad, roast vegetables, poppadoms and desert for only $12 that caters for vegans and vegetarians is a great lunch to have.

What can I say, wonderful vegetarian and vegan food, very kind and friendly service. The atmosphere was really magic. It was a great evening. Highly recommended.

A must-go destination for vegetarian food, I'm usually here every few weeks just for the buffet takeaway, but the calm and friendly vibe of the restaurant is great for a casual meal out with friends.

We didn't know what to expect, because on Tuesday the floor turned out be booked by the yoga class. They ended their lessons at 7: 30 and that time the tables and chairs were placed again and the restaurant was opened too. But only for a set-menu with reservation by phone.
It was lovely. The deep-fried pea-thingies were yummie and the cook came by with a large pan to fill our plates again. Budget friendly, funny and good. We will return soon.

Great place! Every time I come the people here are friendly and up for a chat and the food is great it's grown from there own farm.
