The Bhakti Tree reviews
40Favorite restaurant in Newcastle. Amazing value, service, and most importantly quality of food. Wish they still served dosa/idli thiugh.
The BEST food! Especially the butter paneer and dahl. The curry of the day also never disappoints. And so reasonably priced for the portion sizes you get.
These guys are wonderful. Different meals everyday and the taste of these authentic dishes is amazing. One of the best restaurants in the area and worth a try even if you dont consider yourself vegetarian.
My 1st time trying vegetarian dishes, was very delicious and I would certainly recommend eating here 9/10 for flavour would've given 10 but had no meat
Amazing food for a really good price, if you want to try some vegetarian dishes for the first time this is the place to do it. The plate is massive and full of flavor definitely feeling satisfied, I even got a takeaway meal for lunch
5 star for the place and food, but 1 star only for the rude and arrogant attitude of the owner, zero hospitality service and rubbish service by him
The only restaurant in Newcastle that I will ever trust. Other restaurants always disregards my requirement for no onion and no garlic. Also no meat is cooked there, Hence it brings a sense of comfort when having the meal.
Food is delicious vegetarian meals reasonably priced. They also have in door seating for meals. Wheelchair accessible. Can be quiet hard to get a parking spot.
Fantastic food. Fast and friendly service. Huge portions at a very fair price. Nice surroundings.
Homely tasting, clean, Indian vegetarian food. Enjoyed it immensely. Every morsel had its own unique taste.
Portions were large. Ended up taking home a lot of food.
Will definitely go again.
Very wholesome Indian food. It's fresh and amazing value for money. The bhakti tree also has yoga and chanting (on different nights) and a little community feel where everyone is welcome. There is a buffet option for dining in or take away and it's always delicious - it come with pappadums, curry, rice, salad and a little dessert (which is my favourite). The mango lassi is always great too!
We had dinner here. It is a small restaurant with limited options but the food taste is very good. 5 star for food quality and being 100% vegetarian.
I had poor experience with this place. We ordered Dosa and a combination meal. The Dosa was under cooked and soggy with oil. The plate meal option lacked seasoning. We had a six month old baby with us. They provided us a baby seat which was dirty with stale food stuck on it.
The worst part was the service. My baby started crying and the cook came rushing out of the kitchen and yelled at my wife telling her to make her quiet or take her out. The people working here are probably volunteers who don't understand how to behave with customers. I told the server that I wasn't happy with the way my wife was treated but they simply didn't care. We received No apology but apathy and a smirk. Their nonchalance was shocking.
The quality of food and service being so poor, I will never be coming here again.
Love the food here, I had the Dosa and idli. The food was as good as what you would get a south indian vegetarian chain like sarvanna bhavan. Great stuff!
Quality for the price. Salad was crisp fresh, light fluffy rice, subtley roasted potatoes, tasty curried chick peas, perfect roti. Lovely service and atmosphere.
A must visit for any local or visitor. Amazing food, generous proportions, great prices! No corners have been cut either. Just an awesome little place to have something to eat. My partner and I got 2 large meals with salad, as well as a side, a dessert, and a drink each for just over 30 dollars! Couldn't believe it. Best place I've been to in Newcastle!
Bad management! A lassi is served after an hour of placing the order! Although the food is good.
Delicious vegetarian food, great serving sizes and even better service. Amazing value and quality for money.
This is a really special place, I attended a yoga class here and afterwards we all ate dinner together on one long table. What an awesome way to make new friends:) the food was absolutely amazing too! And all included in the yoga price. Great value! I highly recommended this restaurant.
Simple and homely. Can't go wrong with uthappam.
My wife also greatly enjoyed the dal in the "buffet" meal!
