The Addison Road Community Organisation reviews
47If you want a great city market, then this is the place. Great food with many stores, with cooked, fresh fruit and drinks available. Generally open weekends.
Mistakenly I went there but is interesting place. I should go back again. What was wonderful is the kindness of some people who guided me & Asma offered to drive me to Redfern Station to go to Parramatta. Places are wonderful when wonderful people are met & we are helped & welcomed by their kindness.
Community pantry is great to get some cost effective groceries. Nice people enjoyed a cuppa and a chat AND I got my return and earn bottles done. 2 chores done in one go!
Great community space. Lots happening at given anytime to support various community projects. Parking lot has a few pot holes.
Driveway and carpark is absolutely disgrace never develop. Is the weekend market rent free or too much corruption?
Good place for social gathering and shop for grocery.
I think they will need a bit more variety of shops.
Food is average and a bit pricey compared to other markets
A busy local organic market serving music, fresh organic produce grown and sourced locally + fresh food stalls, as well as fair trade products ; this Community centre also looks after ATSI and Refugee people's as well a variety of community interests, such as art, martial arts and more.
Parking is $3 donation, else you can bike it there or catch the local 428/412 + a short walk there. Child and pet friendly. Highly recommend.
If you're into overpriced food, fruit, veg, and a plethora of organic and environmental tat. This is the place for you.
It's in Marrickville.
Need I say more.
Not so vibrant as it used to be. Some buildings look empty and in need of repair. The Bower is still operating though.
Amazing produce markets! The food tents have such an array and variety of foods. Delicious!
A few folk selling their crafts. Wish there was more. But the Bower shed and the Recycle shed always brilliant for a look, to score a bargin!
What an amazing place. Didn't know how much volunteering was helping inner Sydney cope. Such wonderful people so focused on doing things for everyone else. We packed 300 hampers to help on the day which will save the volunteers time. Glad to have done this and see a side of Sydney not alot is spoken about.
I came across their produce markets while looking for The Bower. There were lots of great things, although most of the items were a little pricey.
Totally blessed to have these wonderful people.excellent service for needy people.highly recommended this place.x god bless addi road food pantry.i could not survive without them here.
Went to an opening at the Stirrup Gallery. Really interesting art, by the talented onsite artists.
Stopped in to cash in my recycling. You know all those bottles and cans that say redeemable for 10 cent.there are 4 machines that take plastic, aluminium and glass and give you woolworth vouchers in exchange or you can download the app and have the money deposited into your account within the app. IT TAKES A MINUTE TO WORK IT ALL OUT but once you do its easy sailing. I ROLLED AWAY WITH $38 that would have otherwise just gone in the trash. Be warned its a bit smelly but worth it.
Really different place. There are many different things / businesses/ community groups that have like rooms scattered throughout the property.
Hard to tell when the different groups / businesses are open or whether they still exist.parking available inside.the surface is pretty rough.it's different.
These hipsters charge so much for there non certified organic stuff the only good honest place is the Bower and reverse garbage the markets are a rip off
Great for the value you get from this service which is inexpensive to purchase a minimalist product range of usable food plus they have generally most of your fruit and vegetables are also available.
Recommended if you are on a low budget.
Love the markets. Great fresh organic veg and fruit. Many happy moments with dog and daughter browsing.
