Tanja Lagoon Camp reviews
36Perfectly peaceful getaway! Beautiful location right on the lagoon - nothing quite like waking up to a view of the bush and the sound of birdsong! Was perfect escape for 3 nights - plenty of active activities to keep you busy and the tents are luxurious enough that you are also very happy to just relax and read a book in bed or on the deck. Highly recommend.
I booked Tanja as part of a surprise proposal weekend! It was just perfect; secluded, quiet, camping (but not really as the amenities and set up was like a hotel - just in the wilderness!). I had contact prior to organise a preview and set up day which was made really easy. Great advice was given about possible engagement locations close by! Highly recommend. This will be our anniversary spot every year!
We had such a great stay here. The kitchen equipment is really nice and the provided breakfast items were a plus! So private despite other tents around and the views are incredible. Perfect for a serene getaway.
Amazing experience in a safari tent, glamping style. Clean and quality set up. Quiet space with nature and animals surrounding your experience and senses. Ultimate privacy and owners set up the area so it's all self contained. Comfortable bed, perfect shower head, kitchen with all the essential cooking utensils, bbq good quality and fire placd for the cold winter nights. Beautiful breakfast goods left with muesli, local milk, eggs, butter and local bread that was all delicious! Thanks for an amazing experience to the owners. Would reccomend for couples getaway to escape city life without technology or TV. Bring a book wine and cheese.
Loved this place so much. A wonderful experience of living in a tent and riding kayak. Full ketchening equipment and organic basic food provided. Owner was so nice and welcomed us. Felt blessed staying in here. Wonderful Holiday. Definitely coming again.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Maximum privacy you can get with Glamping. We had such a wonderful time without seeing any human but many many wild animals:)
One of the most magical experiences I've had. Beautiful gorgeous beaches, delicious local produce, quiet serene sunrises and sunsets, almost-tame (they're not!) kangaroos peacefully roaming. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a coastal getaway.
Wow my now husband and I just spent our honeymoon in the Lomandra Safari tent it was amazing! We both have crazy full on jobs so we wanted a holiday where we could do absolutely nothing. When we arrived kangaroos were everywhere we checked out our accommodation and we’re wowed with the beautiful outlook, the large inviting bed, the huge bath tub with a view and cute little kitchen even the knives were sharp and crockery From Ikea. During our time here we went canoeing, bushwalked to middle beach, made camp fires every night, slept more than usual (that bed was amazing), had day trips to Bega, Tilba, Tathra, merimbula and Eden. Just the scenery on the drives are enough to fill your day. We were lucky to have the whole camp site to ourselves besides the visits from magpies and the young kangaroos curious to meet us and let us pat them. The owners made sure we had everything we needed clean towels during the week, fresh milk and yummy fresh sourdough batard. We highly recommend this beautiful hidden gem for those who just want to relax with no worry’s only problem is getting out of that extremely comfortable bed!

The most stunning and peaceful place. The service was fantastic.
Took my girlfriend here for a surprise weekend and fair to say - I will be in the good books for a while. Romantic and surreal experience.
Tidy, clean and has everything you need for a top notch experience. Highly recommended.
Loved my stay at Tanja Lagoon Camp. Nice luxurious glamping style safari tents built right in the heart of a national park ensure a tranquil retreat in 5 star comfort. Anongst kangaroos and built on the bank of a Lagoon, Tanja Lagoon Camp offers a great getaway bush experience without all the difficulties of normal camping. If you want to camp in the outback, surrounded by Australian wildlife without having to rough it then Tanja is the place for you!
Amazing Eco Friendly Place! In the middle of the nature with beautiful wildlife. 100% recommended!
Just about the most beautiful and serene place I could imagine. Everything thought of which makes a stay here as relaxing as possible
Wonderfull nature! In the middle of nature and animals like lots of birds and lovely kangoroos around you. But so comfortable as well! Kayaking and canoeing is also possible just a few steps away. Just breath deep, relax and feel the nature! Really friendly hosts! Thx a lot!
Tanja Lagoon exceeded my expectations. The quality of the tents was unbelievable! And also the hosts’ attention to detail. With a beautiful bushwalk to the beach and kayaks provided. There is so much to do and see at Tanja Lagoon Camp. Would highly recommend
Amazing, luxurious, peaceful. Beautifully appointed deluxe safari tents - eco minded and with all that you need for a few days getaway from all things busy, noisy and overly connected. Highly recommend planning to stay in and cook to be able to enjoy the afternoon with a drink watching the sunset. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, quality finishes, everything had been thought of by your wonderful hosts.
The location of this accommodation is spectacular - the lagoon was a bit low when I was there, but that was because the inlet had broken through to the sea (that is how close to the ocean you are).
The "tents" are great - open or closed depending on your preference, and the weather, with separate proper bathroom and kitchen.
There is a good BBQ on the deck too, so it is easy to self cater!
I loved constant sound of the birds and the smell of the Eucalyptus trees surrounding the "tent".
