Looked absolutely breathtaking and was the best place for a wedding that was not quite traditional, catering a wide variety of services! With how much they aided in planning and what they provided it made planning the wedding so much less stressful and having everything come together was an absolutely amazing experience. The wedding would not have been the same without the venue, their help, and the services they provided. Cannot recommend enough for anyone who wants an outdoors wedding!
Honestly, if you want a reasonably priced, low-stress option that will still give you that fairytale wedding vibe look no further. I cannot recommend these guys more highly - everything was perfect and their passion and dedication really shows.

I recently had my wedding at Tanilba House. Dee and Glenn were amazing every step of the way!
The property is stunning and offers a unique approach, allowing both the ceremony and reception to be at the same place. We also didn't need to leave for photos, which gave us more time to enjoy our day with our friends and family!
Dee was available to help every step of the way, from sharing a list of vendors they work with regularly, to answering every question I had, no matter how strange, and helping set up on the day of the wedding!
I highly recommend Tanilba House, and Dee and Glenn, for anyone looking for a unique, fairytale wedding venue!

Words can’t describe what a perfect venue Tanilba House was for our wedding… but we will try!

The venue itself was absolutely magical. We were sold at “thousands of fairy lights” and put down a deposit, sight unseen. We were not disappointed! Even the many beautiful photos do not do Tanilba House justice. There was magic around every corner. With the beautiful lights, the stunning gardens, the historic house and the ornate decor - there was barely any need for brought-in decorations. That said, Dee is very open to suggestions and styling (and has quite an eye for it herself!).

Dee and Glenn are absolute legends. They are the perfect mix of flexibility and experience, and we felt very comfortable handing the reins over to them. They were a much needed wealth of knowledge in wedding planning, the Tanilba Bay area, and magical celebrations. Our experience with Tanilba House was entirely seamless and stress-free from start to finish and we would recommend them to absolutely anybody.

I had my wedding at Tanilba Bay House last weekend and every part of it was amazing. Thanks to Dee and Glenn the entire wedding planning process and day went smoothly.
The venue couldn’t have been more beautiful and we were able to have our ceremony, reception and photos taken all on the property.

Family focused, unique and relaxed.

This is what we were hoping to achieve with our wedding at Tanilba House for our special day. The end result was even better, it was truly one of a kind and magical. We had a very family-friendly event with our two little boys as well as plenty of their little cousins and friends. Everyone felt so welcome and loved at Tanilba House where we had organised a colouring in table, a fairy for kids entertainment, 3 piece band and casual sitting/standing with canapés.

Our day was a true reflection of us as a couple and as a family. Dee and Glenn were able to bring my vision and vibe to life. There was absolutely nothing I would have done differently. Our family and friends were amazed at the location, food, music and most of all the feel of the day.

I would highly recommend booking your wedding at Tanilba House! It has everything you are looking for and more. Tanilba House will always hold a special place in our hearts.

One of the best High Teas I've been to! The event included the history of Tanilba House (which was amazing to listen to!) and also included a tour of the historic home. You could even wonder around the beautiful gardens afterwards. Perfect day out and the food was lovely too

We had our Autumn wedding at Tanilba House and it was a fantastic experience. The historic house and grounds are lovingly tended by owners Dee and Glenn who went above and beyond to make our day exactly what we had envisioned. Tanilba House is a truly unique venue that will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Dee and Glenn are, in our book, officially superheroes. After initially helping us get our car out of a mud trap during our first visit, they proceeded to go and earn every appropriate superlative that one can imagine in terms of helping us make our wedding day happen.

They worked with us to budget the event, organise catering, set up the locations of each part of the day, helped us find an astonishing cake maker whose work was breathtaking, and were able to assist in crowd control on the wedding day.

Every bit of praise, every award, every kind word that has been spoken about their venue and the work they do is well-deserved and well-earned. They helped corral audiences on our wedding day, gave us our walking cues, kept us out of public sight, helped set up the fig-tree cathedral, all the seating, managed the drinks bar, the lot.

I've already recommended them to several other friends considering getting married, as they took what is famously a Super Stressful Day and made it Fun. That, folks, is not easy.

We absolutely loved our wedding here last weekend. The hosts of Tanilba House are welcoming, accommodating and make you feel relaxed. The day was absolutely perfect and flexible. We would highly recommend this venue.

We got married at Tanilba House last month (March 2023). This venue is so beautiful, I would describe it as magical, almost out of a story book. Beautiful garden, elegant shabby chic feel, twinkling lights, water just across.
We had our ceremony at the Fig Tree Cathedral, an area enclosed by trees. Beautiful!
Then we had a long table reception at the pergola- under the climbing plants and twinkly lights.
Dee and Glenn are the owners/managers of the place and they work hard and seriously well to keep the place in order and pristine. Dee was accomodating, prompt with responding to emails, texts and phone calls from start to finish.
Our food was catered by Flamingo Flare, the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed it.

They have an accommodation option, which we unfortunately was not able to book as we needed more rooms for family. But hope to one day get to stay in it to experience its beauty.

Thank you Tanilba House for accomodating our wedding, truly the perfect venue for us.

My husband and I got married here in November 2021, wonderful venue! Dee and Glenn were so lovely, very accommodating, happy to help with anything and everything, answer all our questions. We were after a mixed package with some DIY and some of their classic wedding package as well, and they were happy to oblige. Such a beautiful location, very unique with exquisite gardens surrounded lovingly tendered to by Dee and Glenn. Our wedding at Tanilba house was nothing less than magical!
Deirdre and Glenn (the custodians/owners) did everything they could to make our day perfect and just what we had imagined. In fact it was so much better than we had ever dared to dream of.
The garden and setting is stunning and one can easily see how they pour their love into making this place the perfect venue.
Based on their knowledge of us as a couple, they were also able to give us recommendations for caterer, celebrant and photographer - all were absolutely spot on, and our guests could not stop talking about the amazing and quirky celebrant as well as the wonderful food - which all suited the venue and atmosphere we were looking for.
In the lead up to the big day Deirdre and Glenn made themselves available to answer all our questions, and with their experience and knowledge it all came together without any stress or tears.
If you are looking for a (destination) wedding in magical surroundings - we cannot recommend Tanilba House and Deirdre & Glenn enough!

We had our wedding at this elegant historical location, absolutely recommend this magical place, I was blown away by the amazing service would recommend to anybody looking for a special place to have a wedding or visit for its vibrant history.

The most wonderful and magical place for our daughter and her husbands wedding yesterday. Such a beautiful place and nice owners treating and serving us so kind and good.

We were so blessed to use the beautifully and lovingly restored Tanilba House for our wedding. The grounds are beautifully spacious and pristinely maintained. The gardens are beyond stunning and provided the most beautiful backdrop for our special day. The owners Dee and Glen were beyond amazing at co ordinating our special day and went above and beyond not only with us but the businesses we used on the day. All of our guests have raved about the venue and catering. Especially the Fig Tree Cathedral where we said our vows. We also chose to stay the night in the beautiful Maids Quarters which are historically accurate. We can not thank Dee and Glen enough for pulling together our special day and too Dee for keeping me on time and grounded and just reminding me to breathe. We could not reccomend this beautiful Historic Homestead more. Thank you again for the most special and amazing day! We can't wait to go back and visit.

I had the privilege of marrying my best friend at the beautiful Tanilba House less than 2 weeks ago. Not being local to Port Stephen's, my girls and I were able to stay in the Maid's Quarters the night before the wedding so that we could do all of our prep onsite. My husband and I then also stayed the wedding night in the Maid's Quarters and enjoyed waking up to the incredible views of the property.

Dee & Glenn did a fantastic job of helping us rearrange our wedding plans when torrential rain was forecast for our wedding day, but still kept the bones of our plan in place, and somehow made it even better. They were also very accommodating of some of the different things we had at our wedding that they had never had done before!

I greatly appreciated the staff clarifying with my family who were around to help instead of coming to me unless necessary, which gave me time to enjoy my morning getting pampered.

As the biggest stress-head I know, my wedding day was one of the least stressful days in my life, and I believe a large part of that was due to having the wonderful Dee & Glenn taking care of things.

All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and how welcoming they found all the staff to be, and we couldn't agree more. If you are looking for a beautiful venue for a smaller wedding, Tanilba House is the perfect place.

This couple who run this establishment should not be front of house. Bullies from the get go. Listening into private conversations, Making unjustifiable angry comments. And that was only the beginning. Service was all on their terms, could not cope with a large group, no smiles from anyone and left us feeling uncomfortable and frustrated. I would never consider this business to hold any form of celebration. Truly bad form.

Dee and Glenn really made our wedding come to life!

They were very flexible and accommodating. We had a larger wedding, and were impressed to know that Glenn was building extra benches in the lead up to accommodate everyone. We had some trouble with weather, and the team did everything they could to make sure we still got the wedding we wanted.

We had the ceremony in the stunning fig tree cathedral, which really had our guests excited for the day. It's such a unique and magical space.

The team made us feel welcome and special at every turn. They were professional, courteous and responsive. They helped us out with a few vendor recommendations that really made the night. We're very happy to have gone with the food packages provided by Tanilba House. The feasting platters and dessert buffet were a massive hit!

We booked the Maid's Quarters for the wedding night and the groomsmen got ready in there beforehand. The lighting from the window box upstairs made for some great, dramatic photo opportunities. The room itself is comfortable and charming.

The venue itself is beautiful, and a true testament to Dee and Glenn's hard work and meticulous attention to detail. We wouldn't have changed a thing! Thank you again.
