Lovely people work there - visited in person,
Shane was so kind and helpful. Great experience even though I didn’t find what I was looking for! Much appreciated
Good customer service and handling the lost property properly & return back to the real customer.
They managed to meet our expectations.
One of my friend lost her wallet with important cards and documents at train at Redfern.
I referred her to contact Sydney trains lost property department and after 3 days they found it and returned it to my friend.
They have an amazing response team.
Thank you for your service.
Lost my backpack full of stuff like my iPad, laptop etc. This was reported immediately. I got a call from lost property once after which I received 2 emails to update me. I visited the office in frustration & staff did a computer search trying to match the description but with no success.
There are cameras on the train and everywhere around the station, i knew the train line, carriage number, time etc if they could access the cameras surely they would of known who took the bag? This is probably is too time consuming for them unless its a serious crime.
There was a lady before me who came to receive her bag full of cash and was very thankful so it's down to luck am afraid. Good luck to everyone and I hope you find your belongings.
Helpful and patient stuff, you can call and leave a message and they will call you back. They keen to help and ask for many details and try different criteria for searching your item on their system, though I didn’t find my lunch box yet
The automated matching system doesn't seem to be very accurate so both times I've lost items I have visited the Lost Property office, talked to the lovely staff and they have located and returned my possessions. Thank you so much for your help!
Really impressed by the service of the lost and found office. I filled out the online form in the morning and called to follow up a few hours after, the person on the phone was able to locate the item I lost very quickly in the system.
I got my item back on the same day. Very impressed by the service.
NSW lost property team Service is Excellent. Working staff are very helpful and genuinely very thanks to them. They are very good
I never thought I would get anything left behind on a train back but I did and on the same day! I noticed my cosmetic bad gone missing while lunch time and guess it might have been dropped on the train in the morning after used on the train. Asked the staff in Circular Quay station they said no one handed in anything but she checked the system and found someone handed in at Central station. I was SURPRISED in a very good way! Then I was given a reference number and got my cosmetics bag back. When chatting with the lady in the Lost Property Office she said a lot of people like me not expecting lost things on the train back but in fact most people hand them in when they found lost item on the train. This experience made my day!
Hi,
I found a laptop on a train at Dulwich Hill station on wednesday 15/03/23 around 9: 15am (train to Lidcombe) and only had time to handle it to a staff member at Dulwich Hill station 1 week later (wednesday 22/03/23,4pm). Sorry for that
Hope the laptop’s owner could read this message and get it back soon. Me didnot have any luck with the lost and found property but.good luck!
It is automated and there is nobody to interact with.
You used to be able to talk to a person, not anymore.
Lost my wallet on the train at Wynyard station. I registered @ Sydney Trains lost property website. Within an hour got a call from an officer at Town Hall that the wallet had traveled all the way to Blacktown station. Picked it up from Blacktown cards, cash, license & passport enact. I can't thank Sydney Trains enough.
After losing my keys and ID on 23/08/2022, filed a lost property report the day of. The next day, Phil sent an email and text my way letting me know they had been handed in.
Legendary service!
I've been here like ten times in the past year, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They know me by fist name now. But I am always notified pretty quick when my property is found on bus or train and collection is quick, easy and secure. It's a place you hope not to visit, but when you do you will be happy with the service. Logging lost property via there online portal is also very quick easy and secure.
Haven't been in, A bit rude on the phone. Directed me to the Website. The form is so easy to fill out and they have kept me regularly updated on my missing item.
I would like the commend the wonderful staff at the Lost Property office for helping me find my bag. They handle each lost item with care and responsibility. It is so refreshing to have such wonderful Sydney Train staff and service especially in light of all the recent train strikes.
Lost a bag on a sydney train.completed online lost property form.they have kept me up to date on the search for my bag.unfortunately someone has picked it up & not handed it in
Honestly, I'm in such a tough place rn and losing my wallet felt like the final straw for me. I realize I left it on the train seat when leaving the train at chatswood, I rushed down to the attendant to tell her what happen. She quickly made a call and told me that they would do a look at Central and would give me a call if they found it. This wallet was my 21st birthday gift to myself so it naturally means a lot to me. At 10: 15pm l decided to give my local train station a call as the train was meant to terminate there. I spoke to a guy name Patrick who was able to look in the system and told me that they found it at central and he reserved it under my name. I have just picked the wallet up. Honestly anybody who helped me with the retrieval of the wallet are absolute legends and need a pay raise, l also want to shoutout the people of Sydney for not taking it. I know Friday nights people get a bit rowdy and think a lost wallet is there for the taking. It's nice to know Sydney has got some good people.
Really small and crowded place. I had to stay there for half an hour as they looked for my bag which I had lost. Takes a lot of time.
Had dry cleaning sent there after a Sydney Trains dry cleaning tenant went bust with my clothes stranded. Got a friendly text, headed over and we as helped by Shane. Great customer service and nice dude. Proud of our public service employees. Thank you Sydney trains!
