The Sydney Opera House has to be one of the most iconic buildings in the world. Even though we live in Sydney and have visited the Opera House many times it never ceases to amaze. The structure and it's history a fascinating, for any visitor to Sydney it would virtually be impossible not to be drawn at least once to have a good look at the building. The great place to have a drink and take in the beautiful Harbour views.

Great show and performance - Great opra hits
Service at the food bar terrible, I purchased the biggest picnic voucher available together with the tickets. When I arrived with my missus earlier to enjoy it with the view I was informed that the main bar is closed on that day due to the quiet period and I got directed to the small, front bar (counter). The girl (tall blond) without asking us how are we just asked me what do I want, after showing my "Opera Picnic Pack Food and Beverage Voucher", she's just thrown two sad looking half empty boxes (looking like a take away plastic sushi boxes) on the counter and poured two glasses of sparkling wine. Because I expected a bit more of an elegant style and from the internet description of it more food to follow, I asked if that's all, the answer was - that's all you get!
I wasn't pleased with that service what so ever, especially That it was my partner's birthday and I wanted everything to be perfect.
In the interval we had two glasses of champagne at the round bar and the service there was up to standard and the bartender was very nice and talkative.

Iconic and great tour experience. I have lived here for many years and today I have had the time and the pleasure to visit it as a tourist with friends from oversees. I have got to know our Opera House a little better and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you

All roads lead to Sydney Opera House! Every time I visit Sydney I come to this amazing place. It's architecture will never become old. You can just enjoy promenade in the harbor or in the park, do shopping or chill with friends or share your beer buttered fish and chips with one of those hungry seagulls.

There is not much to say about the Opera house. It looks exactly like all the pictures spread all over the world. Located in the center of the city it is the landmark of Sydney. In fact there is one thing I do not like: on the inside of the opera All is built with concrete, which looks vers cheap in my opinon.

Sydney opera house is one of the most distinctive building in the world, which is listed as UNESCO world heritage site. It could be compared as Statue of Liberty, or Taj Mahal or Great Wall of China. Both engineering or artistic point of view this building is spectacular, which attract millions of visitors every year around the globe. Unfortunately the time we visited it was rainy. But it looked still beautiful.

I love the place! Amenities are good, superb views. Part of the staff is very serious about the job.they never smile! But they are efficient so I think that counts.

A must see when you visit Sydney, it is such an iconic building and won't disappoint. We did a tour, book the day before if possible. Our guide was very knowledgeable & gave our party time to ask questions & take plenty of photos. We decided to have a meal there which was nice and the service was a little haphazard to begin with but improved as the service went on.

The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings.
The building and its surrounds occupy the whole of Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour, between Sydney Cove and Farm Cove, adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens, and close by the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Though its name suggests a single venue, the building comprises multiple performance venues which together host well over 1,500 performances annually, attended by more than 1.2 million people. Performances are presented by numerous performing artists, including three resident companies: Opera Australia, the Sydney Theatre Company and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. As one of the most popular visitor attractions in Australia, more than eight million people visit the site annually, and approximately 350,000 visitors take a guided tour of the building each year. The building is managed by the Sydney Opera House Trust, an agency of the New South Wales State Government.
On 28 June 2007, the Sydney Opera House became a UNESCO World Heritage Site having been listed on the (now defunct) Register of the National Estate since 1980, the National Trust of Australia register since 1983, the City of Sydney Heritage Inventory since 2000, the New South Wales State Heritage Register since 2003, and the Australian National Heritage List since 2005.

A marvel of global architecture, you should enter it and go for the guided tours. I bought a book from the souvenir store to learn its intriguing development, design and cultural history.

An amazing venue for so many reasons.

You have to experience the main concert hall, do a tour or just walk around and enjoy the architecture.

This place has such an interesting history so make sure you do your research to really understand why it's such a masterpiece or do a tour.

There's some great views of Sydney Harbour from the outside.

Make sure you get up on the Harbour Bridge at sunrise to get some really attention grabbing photos.

It's the biggest billboard in Sydney. That's really all that the opera house has going for it other than the fact is an iconic world heritage site on the shore of one of the most beautiful harbours on the planet, underneath an equally iconic bridge.

But still, I can't think of a better place to advertise your horse race.

We loved this place! We came to Sydney on a group tour and hadn't thought to buy tickets in advance. We lucked out and were able to get tickets for Evita. The venue was so beautiful. We also had a tour and learned all about the fascinating architecture. A must see!

It's a sight to see in person. Much bigger than any post card reveals. There's some decent food places and touristy thrift shops right beside the Opera House. Also you will see a few Aboriginal performances by locals, possibly some buskers. It will be a landmark off your bucket list.

A masterpiece of architecture, the Sydney Opera House is one of the world's most famous buildings.
You can take a photo on the steps of the Opera House, explore its majestic exterior and splendid interior on daily tours, and enjoy performances held under its iconic white sails.
It has a multipurpose performing arts facility whose largest venue.
The Opera House hosts 3000 events every year with a 200,000 thousand people per year taking a guided tour.

Finally had an opportunity to go see a show at the main concert hall - and it did not disappointment. The Symphony was absolutely great and the entire space is smaller than expected, but with greater intimacy.

What an amazing place! It doesn’t matter if you’re just walking around outside, having a drink or casual meal at one of the bars, enjoying a performance or fine dining at The Bennelong restaurant the experience is always fantastic!
