Sydney Medical Centre

Sydney Medical Centre has a fast and friendly administration, thorough and professional doctors and nurses. Always plenty of appointments available. On the mezzanine level there is a pharmacy and pathology service as well. It is highly recommended.

I have been going to this medical centre for over 20+ years. Both reception staff and nurses are friendly and helpful. Even when the centre no longer bulk billed, I still go to this medical centre because my doctor is excellent and very caring. The wait is not as long as before as well since they have gone private.

Excellent experience for my booster. Reception laides and nurses were friendly, polite and courteous.

The Asian lady her name is Christine, she is very rude and with patients and her behaviour is horrible.

Very Bad Service, the doctors are always 20-30 minutes late, I had to cancel my appointment as I had to go back to work and when I asked the receptionist she got angry at me for asking saying she has no idea how long the doctor will take

Super efficient visit to get my booster. Large open space and efficient check in. Super well organised logistics to administer. Could recommend more highly

Dr Sophia has been my GP for 8+ years. She is a wonderful person, very knowledgeable and will take the time to sit with you to discuss any issues. I would still travel the hour from my home to deal with Sophia. She has a caring nature and and is generally concerned for her patients. I can only speak highly of my experiences with her.

The Staff at Sydney Medical and Dental Centre are always the most caring and empathic souls and it is always a peaceful and enjoyable experience to visit this center and their staff. Thank you to the wonderful ladies at the reception who are always kind, mindful and empathic and to the Doctors who create healing for all.

If you live or work in the city, this is the best medical centre, they do have a small gap in payment that is not covered by Medicare….
Worth it though… five stars!

Had my Covid Vaccine there and both of my appointments were a breeze. From the reception to the doctor and the nurse that gave me the injection were all nice. They gave me all the info I need and advise after the vaccine. Will recommend the center.

I do not live in Sydney, but was travelling for work. I needed to see a doctor - I got an appointment easily - they were very helpful, polite and professional

I've been going to this medical centre for a few years now and even though they've changed staff and doctors here and there, they've always been accomodating, understanding and helpful. A well rounded group of professionals. My experience with this place has been good.

My family and I been patient of this medical centre for more than 15 years.
I strongly disagree with your new non bulk billing method.
What ever reason you may believe this may justify would not out weight that fact that we are now still in pandemic and if not majority but most families are experiencing financial hardship and therefore couldn’t afford your extremely expensive new $31 out of pocket fee.
And most likely avoid visiting your Medical centre.
I strongly advise that you reconsider this measure and immediately reverse it

People are more inclined to leave a negative review rather than a positive one. Here to offset that. Anyway, people need to understand change and that you get a much better service if you pay for it. I have been coming to this medical practice for over 8 months now, and each time I see a doctor (seen several here) they have been very helpful.

With bulk billing there is a tendency for doctors to move patients faster, therefore creating a less “customer focused” experience. People need to decide whether they want to pay for great service, or decide to get a bulk bill service, resulting in a less than desirable experience.

I’m here to say that at this place, you can count on the service.

I start seeing one doctor, she leaves the practice and nobody tells me.
So I start seeing another doctor. I saw him on a Thursday, and my physiotherapist tells me (on Saturday) that that doctor left the practice on Friday. Like really? This guy couldn't even give me a heads up like "Oh by the way, I'm leaving tomorrow. I'll no longer be working here" before I left?

It's pretty standard to wait for about an hour, even if you're the only patient waiting to be seen.
You never know if the receptionists are going to be in a good mood or not. And now they've gone private and no longer bulk bill.
Overall just not a good experience.

Great Doctor at this Medical Centre, has being coming for a very long time, all staff is very friendly, specially thanking Dr Frank Zhu for he care with my medical conditions. He is a very knowledgeable doctor and I regard him highly.

All they care about is how to make money. Instead of 1 session, it will take days and multiple sessions even for the most simple things. They refused to give a phycologist referral without letting them know the phycologist, 's name. I went to another centrer and I got my referral straight away. On the top of that, a session with Paula feels more like interrogation than examination. I have been there multiple times but no more
