Sturt Gallery & Studios reviews
26 Fabulous 3D art for display/sale. Seriously expect fabulous.
Accessibility: The signage and entrance are a bit tight; the steps have a few trip hazards painted white as a warning. Apparently there is a rear entrance for disability access and parking.
Free entrance. Several rooms and galleries with first class jewelry, pottery, wood carving, glass art, sculpture, furniture.
Coffee and cake were available.
Small art gallery with some interesting crafts. A nice garden, can visit at weekends for lunch or coffee.
A very nice delicate art gallery with cafe shop to sit in, really love the artworks there! Definitely worth a go.
Friendly helpful staff, creative and inspired work in the Gallery & Studio. Lovely setting,
Beautiful gallery with wonderfully crafted and creative design works. Warmly heated coffee shop (winter time) - I have ever been in Australia surrounded with beautiful things to buy.
Very comfortable traditional older style showrooms from four artists plus workshops, super nice sprawling gardens and paths around, top spot hidden away, well worth a visit, best home brewed chai and decaff that I remember.
So very impressed with the quality of the art and craft works in the gallery.
Attended the wood firing workshop last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can’t wait to do another one.
Beautiful centre of fine craftsmanship. Buy from some of Australia's finest makers. Lovely cafe and gardens.
First time visit. Stunned by the outstanding furniture on display. Congrats to Sturt School for Wood and their talented students. Great gift ideas available too. Cafe is outstanding.
Sturt Gallery is always an absolute joy and this time was no exception. Whether you wanted to splash out and buy one of the simply beautiful timber pieces by the graduating class or just wanted a gorgeous card.it's all there.
The range is extraordinary and they always seem to be adding to it. I got some superbly coloured Christmas decorations using indigenous bird images - what a conflation of symbols but it works brilliantly.
Amazing exhibition currently - 'Drawn from the Garden'. Sharon Peoples' works are out of this world!
Rest of the gallery includes some stunning ceramics, glassware & jewellry. Worth a visit!
An interesting gallery with a great little coffee shop included. Nice surroundings to sit in the sun and enjoy good coffee and food.
Lovely gallery with some rotating displays and a great variety of items. We picked up a small piece for our house that we are very happy with. Great to be able to support some local artists.
Fantastic place l had no idea how clever people can be, making such beautiful items very impressed.
Tranquil and beautiful. Just being in the garden lifts my spirits, then I go into the gallery and they soar. I will visit as often as I can.
Absolutely wonderful. So, well worth a visit. Even if your only passing through the town of Mittagong do take the time to visit this little gem of a Gallery and workshop space. Just a few minutes drive when you turn off the highway. This is not such a huge area to cover, allowing you to whip in for a quick peek or wander leisurely about the grounds. Although, absolutely stop and have at least a coffee/tea in the quant cafe located amongst the irresistible merchandise.
Great variety of art, sculpture, paintings, weaving, woodwork. Coffee and light meals and outdoor dining in a lovely garden setting.
Driving through the area, my wife and I stopped off at the gallery and had an enjoyable time looking at the great craft on display, especially the fine wooden furniture.
Topped off the stay with enjoyable coffee and cake sitting out doors.
More of a gift shop and cafe than an actual gallery. Features one key artist exhibition. Nice gardens, staff on a weekend were quite cold.
