Nothing was a problem for the boys at Stratco Thornton. Their after sales service shown through. Thank you Rhys and the boys.

The actual process of obtaining quote, purchasing and installation was really easy, very satisfied. Unfortunately I have emailed them several times since asking for assistance but have had no response. Overall very happy, sad the follow up support is lacking.

Accurate description of the goods, available for pickup in Newcastle in very quick time, well priced quality colorbond corrugated iron. Very helpful staff who assisted in safely and expertly loading on roof racks

I've put 2 orders in with Stratco lately. Everyone I've spoken to have been amazing. They are knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly. It's such a breath of fresh air. I spoke to Tanisha this morning and she sent through a quote within no time. Everything was exactly what we asked for and the price was great. We price checked against a couple of online companies for our first order and Stratco were significantly cheaper. They'll be our first point of call from now on.

Buyer beware: Do not trust the Manager Chris at Stratco Thornton or their recommended builder PodBuilt Construction, they inflate quotes without explanation.
We have had a shocking experience with Stratco Thornton that has been dragged out for over 3 months since early May 2022 after we approached them to help us with a supply and installation of a small awning 6.7mt x 1.7mt x 2.4mtr on the front of our house. They told us we had to pay $1000 deposit before their recommended builder could come out and measure up and quote for installation of the awning. After the builder came out and completed measure up, Stratco then told us we had to pay full balance before receiving installation quote from Builder. Once full payment was paid to Stratco for the awning the builders quote came back 2/3rds more expensive than original estimate from Stratco, the builder refused to give breakdown of costs and wanted 30% deposit to install (builders can only ask for 10% deposit according to NSW Home Builders Law). We asked Stratco for help, but they would not help, this left us no choice but to list issue with Fair Trading. After notifying Startco we were listing issue with Fair Trading they offered a refund. Due to more mismanagement and obvious delaying tactics (we were told 3 times EFT was being processed when it wasn’t) the refund was finally transferred into our account 17 days after being agreed to. After all of this there was no offer of compensation for the stress, out of pocket for over 3 months, time taken off work and the 210klms driven to go to the Branch at Thornton on six separate occasions to sort this.
I have all the emails, copy of quotes and messages to prove all this, which I would be happy to share.
Update: Even the reply from so called 'Annabelle' below is an auto generated reply. I emailed them back and guess what.no reply.
Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else.

Never have any stock. I try everytime as i live in thornton & everytime i end up at bunnings. This is over the course of 10 years & its still very average.

Horrible experience and will never use Stratco again. First order submitted and paid for and they lost the order. 6 weeks later still nothing even though we could show receipts of payment. Finally after this was resolved not all the parts were delivered, so again after another 4 weeks of waiting we have been guaranteed by "head office" the parts will be in, take the day off work to go pick them up and I should have known better, still not there.
A 2 day project has been delayed nearly 5 months thanks to the incompetence of these guys. And I wouldn't care if they took responsibility, but it's just one excuse after another how it's not their fault. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

Good communication with click and collect. Staff at Thornton branch very friendly and helpful.

I'm with Lisa (another reviewer) on this no reply lark. I rang for a quote last Saturday and here i sit on the next Friday with no response. I then rang the head office to find they cant raise Newcastle either.still waiting

I Got a ton of DIY projects going on at home cause me and the missus are doing some Reno’s. A friend of mine told to go see the fellas at Stratco, I was a bit hesitant at first cause I don’t have a trade background and have only ever normally shopped at Bunnings but when I went down there i spoke to Josh and he gave me great advice, sorted me out with the things I need and was helpful enough that I could relay information to the wife to keep her off my back and confident that I’m going to do a good job, so a big thank you to Josh. A happy wife = a happy life so I will definitely be back and will be telling my friends of this pleasant experience. Thanks to the team at Stratco and an extra big thanks to Josh, really made my life easier.

The Team at Stratco have been very helpful in the design and planning of my new Shed for my backyard. Chris has been excellent, he has drawn up all the plans and engineering ready for me to submit to council. Very easy to work with. Thankyou.

I was given the run around by other companies when looking for lattice screening, & Bunnings didn’t even bother to ring me back, but Rob Semaan was so helpful & efficient. Within the hour, I had the quote & delivery date (2 days!) & was able to order 6 screens. Thank you Rob for your wonderful service. I will recommend you, & your company to my friends.

Put in an online enquiry on the weekend (after getting a brochure in the mail) and received a text message on the Monday that someone would contact me within 24 hours to discuss my enquiry (interested in putting a roof on my deck). No one had called by Friday so I called and said no one had contacted me yet - they said they would chase it up and get someone to contact me. It's now a week later and I haven't heard from anyone so I can only guess that they don't want nor need the business. Will be going elsewhere.

I dont normally leave reviews, but just how well I was helped put when I visited the store today was worthgetting on here. I was looked after by josh, and his genuine enthusiasm while helping me put was amazing. Stratco thornton, well done
