This real Estate agency behaves in a very unprofessional way. First, they approved our lease at a property. We paid the bond and advance rent and they suddenly pull out one day before we were moving. Then, they apologised and requested us to be patient. They also promised us to cooperate with us in any future applications. In second attempt, they first gave us green signal and after prolonged undesirable wait durations, they suddenly emailed us that application is unsuccessful and in the meantime they verified all references, asked for all bank statements. There is no way to trace the relevant property manager and whenever we called them, they say manager will respond and it actually never happened. A very sorry state of affairs and a very undesirable experience. Highly disappointed with them.

If you are thinking about renting with starr then please think again. I rented with them for over 3 years. It took them over 2 years to replace the air con that was included in my lease. My house flooded (from a burst pipe, no fault of mine) it took them hours to send someone and refused to send someone to clean the water even though I had sent property manager Rachel videos of my entire downstairs covered in over an inch of water and she claimed it was just “wet”. Rachel will lie to you to suit her motive then when you send her screenshots of something she said in email she will still deny it. When I moved out I had to chase her up for condition report which took over 2 weeks and the issues she said I couldn’t fix them it was too late. Now she’s trying to bill me for $900 and I asked for an itemised receipt and copy’s of any receipts for any work or damages and she ignored my emails. They do not care about tenants at all.

Update rachel tried to bill me for a broken window in property I asked for evidence as no window was broken when I lived there she sent a pic of broken window in my old bedroom. This def was not there when I lived there and bedroom windows were all marked as good in condition report. The floors had since been replaced in house and this must have been when damage occurred and now months later they are trying to bill me. Beware of this agency they are scammers

I would recommend Starr Partners and Rachel Hulme in particular as a managing agent. Great Service and i am informed every step of the way.

We were very desperate to get unit. Because of busy schedule we couldnot makeout any inspection time and even if we could because of rental crisis nothing was available. Star partners had all 3D videos in their website and all the application was made very easy online. After approval they arranged us private inspection and helped us yo get the unit. Can’t thank enough ️

If I could give 0 stars, I would, please stay away from Star Merryland partner and agent Phuong, they are trying to ask us to pay $2000+ in addition to our bond, to pay for granny flat renovation, what a joke, for a granny flat that was never registered through Cumberland Council for almost 4 years, and we have been renting for 6 years, stay away from this agent if you want peace of mind.
