Star Car Wash

A good and quick internal and external car wash. Overall the car looked a lot better inside and out. I was told half an hour so was happy to wait whilst it was washed. I think this meant they rushed it, as they finished in under 15mins, which is quick, but for $62 I wanted a near perfect clean. Perhaps ask the client whether they want a quick service or a perfect service? I would go back again but would be sure to say I'll wait for a perfect clean (or just go and come back).

Not as good as it used to be. Very disappointed by lack of attention to detail and the price considering all of the spots missed and that I had to ask them to go over. Seems like they just rushed it and didn’t take as much care as before

Got the $125 "Star Polish" here yesterday - very average experience. Pointed out numerous places they had missed altogether on the exterior, they just grabbed a cloth to wipe it off. Returned home 15 mins later and realised they missed a whole back strip (photo). Pointed it out over the phone and they asked me to come back in - same cloth routine again. No apology for me having to drive back from my house 15 mins away or offer for better service in future. Would not return.

Completely average & of course acceptable if that’s all you want. Overcharged by double what they quoted and had to clean areas they’d missed when I got into the car myself. No attention to detail & kinda rude team. Should have just stuck to the guys at Fine Shine Waterloo

Scratched my brand new car.

I was looking specifically for a hand wash (not a machine wash) as the car is brand new. I thought this wouldn't cause any scratches and this car wash seemed to have decent reviews.

The car was definitely scratched after the wash. Not a minor swirl, but where my fingernail catches in the scratch. I asked the worker and he just shrugged and said he didn't know how it got there. It definitely wasn't scratched before it was washed.

Don't think I'll go back.

I'm disappointed by this service. I paid $109 for a polish and it looks like the car was just run through the water blaster and not actually polished. I was told that there were some marks that could not be removed because the "damage had already been done" by bird droppings. I've now removed some of those marks with some rubbing with a soft cloth. I'm not convinced any "polishing" occurred. I will not be returning.

I got a platinum clean for my Maserati

A perfect job. The car has never been cleaned as well inside and out.

Did a great job with my car. Hadn’t been washed in months and was a mess of dirt and dog hair. Also they did an amazing job getting some non-car paint off the front bumper too. You also couldn’t see my wheel alloys before. Sparkling now.

I recently took my car for a full detail and paint protection, when I returned, the car had a deep chip and two circular scratches on the top of the car. They insisted they didn't do it, and it was there previously and they had proof of this on the security footage. I asked to see the footage, which they then said was not available. The manager told me had watched the footage remotely, but due to technical issues could not provide it to me. The manager was very rude and refused to fix the damage, head office provided no assistance. To top things off the interior of my car wasn't detailed as paid for. Never going here again, extremely disappointed!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience here. Although they did a good job on the interior, the exterior was clearly done poorly. There were splash marks, poor polishing & I actually think it was dirtier when I brought it in. Final thoughts would be to do a good check when you collect your car.

Also paying for parking isn't great either.

The guys did an amazing job making my pretty beaten up old Prius look amazing. They also took the time to explain where they had not been able to completely remove marks, and why. Will definitely be going back.

Very nice guys and always do a very professional job. Usually I just turn up but booked on line this time which was great. Apparently 8-2 the busiest time but if you want to just turn up after 2pm the best time.

Excellent service. Car was cleaned very thoroughly and well, and within the time they specified (ie less than hour). Very conveniently located to Double Bay shops and cafes so you can use your time while waiting. Highly recommended.

Car was not cleaned very good had to ask them to fix it, also my disabled pass was missing it was used the night before. When I have come back to the car it was missing, I am the carer of someone who has medical issues and I am 100% sure it was stolen by someone who cleaned the car!

My car is old …. However it looked like a shiny new car having been washed, polished and
interior vacuumed by Star Wash Double Bay. The service was punctual and reasonable value for what I thought was an excellent finished product.
I would highly recommend Star Wash Double Bay.
