Charged extra! Pair $100 for a suv, my car i received
back with coffee stains still present everywhere! And STUNK of body Odour! Hair was still left in the car after “vacuuming” and car Mats not vacuumed and dumped in the boot.marks on the outside that rub off with my finger. Star car wash at Mona vale in at the bottom of Pittwater place.refused to re wash my car. But i was told by Sam he would wipe off the coffee stain and that’s it. While he became confrontational. Then refused to assist me.

I found the manager quite unfriendly and lacking any normal curtisy that one would expect like please and thankyou

This is third occasion where the car wash has not been satisfactory, with dirt remaining on front headlights and guards. On the last occasion, 10.9.23, I drew the manager's attention to dirt on the leading edge of the roofline above the windscreen. Instead of admitting it was dirt, stated it was a film which was part of the duco. When I disagreed and asked him not to insult my intelligence, stated we only "wash" the car we do not “clean”. I informed him that “wash” and “clean” mean the same thing, and therefore what is the difference. He stated it was extra to “clean” the car. I then cleaned the dirty spot off in front of him, which took all of two seconds. The reality is what they try to do is gouge you for extra money saying the vehicle is too dirty to wash at the normal price and ask for extra. I noticed a similar review back in April 2021, two years ago, below:

Went here to get my car washed. Had some mud splash from puddles not off road caked on type stuff. Wanted an extra $20 to clean. Are you kidding me? I just used a wet sponge and it came off so easily. What a scam. I am a regular at Star Car Wash user but would not use Mona Vale again or maybe even Star after this experience.

Very good wash and vacuum. My 16 year old car looks good. Just a bit expensive for pensioners. Seems to have increased in price since last time.

When they finished the job, we asked why there were so many marks and sticky spots.
We were surprised to hear
that "this is our washing standard"
"You can upgrade to polishing and waxed you pay double the amount. "
Waste of time at this business.
Don't even dare to get there!

Paid $320 for full detailing, picked car up, opened boot filthy around the trim, I was told do not clean trim around boot or roof even though paid for complete detailing, car didn’t smell clean basic wiping done, I don’t think they spent much time as they complained they had done many cars that morning, my car wasn’t worth the money to clean, when I asked about the service they said I was being rude it’s called being assertive, I would steer clear of this place, can someone from the inner west open a proper car wash detailing service here please. I only have one star because I had to, to post this comment.

Paid for a platinum wash which was $69. Outside looked nice but the inside was far from what I expected.
Carpets still had sand on them, the dust wasn't cleaned on the drivers instrument cluster and overall just looked like a half job.
Not worth the money and won't be using them again.

They do a reasonably good job but the one & a half hour to 3 hour wait to get your car washed is what you can expect. I've given up & wash my own car now.

Always very good. Quick efficient and professional. Car looks great esp after a polish. Highly recommend.

We had the interior detail which includes the platinum service. It was pretty dirty going in and came out absolutely spotless! Was just what we needed prior to selling the car. Can recommend
