Star Car Wash

After a successful $70 wash with them previously I recently took my car in to get a full $200 inside and out wash and came away incredibly disappointed. I gave them three hours and upon my return I noticed dirt and/or marks on every single panel.
I gave them a few more moments to touch it up and paid in cash but was offered no discount and after returning home I noticed there were sections of the rear bumper that just hadn't been cleaned at all.
I suspect the incredibly poor carpark lighting has something to do with the quality.

Got a platinum wash done this weekend and the manager/owner asked by when we need the car back. We asked if 2 hours is fine for him and he assured the car will be ready. When we went to get the car back in 2 hours it took another 30 mins and the car just went for washing. When received I was not happy. The front windscreen has streaks all over and so did the side windows. The interior wasn't cleaned properly either. I understand if it gets busy but then you should not compromise with the quality of your service as you don't compromise with the service charges.

We paid for Star Polish service. $104 for our small SUV When we picked up the car the boot mat was wet - which we drew attention to and this was rectified while we waited. The car looked clean and the windows were done well inside and out.

But in the dark of the car park we didn't see the following until we were in daylight:
- Parts of the duco were not cleaned properly -still had dirty marks which were easily wiped off. Just sloppy workmanship.
- There were several scuff marks on the duco that we were able to get off with a bit of car polish and elbow grease. Not enough effort had been made on this
- the dashboard had been very roughly wiped over and parts if it were missed completely. Same with interior door steps and door panels.
- wheel rims were not cleaned thoroughly as expected from the description of what we paid for.

Overall, not particularly happy for the quality of service and care we received and not good value when we had to put in another 30-40 minutes of work ourselves to get it to the standard we would expect for the cost.

I got a gift voucher from my friend for my birthday. It was raining so I wasn’t sure if they would honour my voucher. The staff was very friendly and did such a great job. I will definitely come back.

My first attempt to use a SUV/4WD wash gift card they told me the car was too dirty and it was going to cost a lot more money. So I went home and washed it myself.
Second time I went back with a cleaner car and the finished wash still had dirt / missed spots all over the car. Won’t be going back and don’t recommend.

Was told they need to clay bar then polish the whole car for $120. When I declined and said I could do that myself they refused to do a simple wash and literally walked away. Your a car wash. You had one job and you failed. Nothing but up sells this place. Recommend staying away.
Ended up going to Awash Carcare & Cafe gladesville on Victoria road. No hesitation washed my car without telling me I needed unnecessary extras. Car came out immaculate. Highly recommend AWASH carcare & cafe on Victoria road

Went in for a general wash and internal clean on a 3 week old car, and got up-sold the exterior plastic trim clean - saying that if we don’t do it the external plastic trim will whiten - after spending an extra $40 on this, the plastic trim is white… The wheel arches weren’t cleaned properly (mud still on them) and two weeks after the wash the whole internal car had white residue all over it. Don’t waste your money.

My car looked pretty grubby when i left her to get detailed.when i came back she looked brand new.they took great care.i must say the attention to detail was amazing.very happy with the end result.

I had my car polished yesterday and it was done so professionally. Very happy with the service and the turn around time.

Waited for 2 hours and 30 minutes still haven’t get the message about finishing the cleaning, I walk in the shop and find out the job is finished but the staff didn’t send me a message, the car still have some dirt on the roof.

When I arrived I was told a basic wash and vacuum was $69. I queried this but the attendant was quite insistent. I pointed out I usually pay about $20 less at other Star washes and was advised that wouldn't include washing the wheels or wiping down the interior - he finally begrudgingly agreed to do the basic wash and vacuum, for $47, as originally requested.

Absolutely hopeless job - boot not vacuumed at all, the wash was terrible - missed spots all over tha car. Would be better off leaving the car out in the rain and saving your $47. Don't waste your time or money.

I went there today because there is commbank reward ($5). However I was told they do CASH ONLY and they have increased the price to $60 while the website site says $57 for standard cleaning?

Excellent service, always friendly - my car looks brand new when I pick it up! And they sms me when its ready to collect, always on time as promised. Great experience - thank you.

The guys prepared my car for sale. I chose the interior detailing and was so impressed that all the sand was removed from our car. Excellent job, Friendly service. Very happy with the turnover timing as well.

These guys broke the mechanism of my right- side mirror and then flatly denied that they had anything to do with it.
I have never had issues with the mirror before and it was working when I left it there. How do I know this? My mirrors automatically fold inwards when I turn the car off, and both mirrors were working as normal when I left my car at the car wash.
On returning and getting into my car, I first noticed that the right side mirror needed to be adjusted as the actual mirror had been pushed outwards. I tried to use the switch inside my car to readjust it, however it was jamming and not moving - the first time this has ever happened. I had to manually adjust the mirror with my hand.
Once I got home, I immediately noticed that the mirror no longer folded inwards once the car was turned off. Again - this has never happened before.
I immediately contacted head office who told me the owner would call me.
Today he called me and refused to take any responsibility for the damage of my mirror.
I will never use a Star Car Wash again. Disgusting customer service. Beware people!

Third time I've used them to wash my car and third time I've been disappointed. They have no attention to detail, and all three times have left dirt on the car that's clearly visible from one quick walk around. Not worth the money. I won't be back again

Very poor vacuuming (if any?) & cleaning of compartments after paying for platinum wash service. Think twice before taking your car to this carwash in Macquarie Park.

Waited an hour and a half and when I came back to the car there were still dirt marks around the fuel cap door, door handles, cup holders and fluff still on my back seats that I ended up cleaning off myself.

The boot of the car was not vacuuming properly. Note that I paid 95 doll for the cleaning. I will not recommend the place to friends or colleagues.

Terrible. They charged me an extra $30 due to my car having a lot of dirt on it due to my driving on a long dirt driveway often (had no issue with this), but there were entire areas that had not been cleaned inside. I had 1 item in the car which was a sunglasses case, that they didn't even move to the side to clean under it. I complained, took it back the next day for it to be rectified, but found areas they had still missed. Do not take your car there.
