Sorensens Glasshouse & Gardens reviews
46Great place with tasty food. However, the prices are a little bit high. I recommend booking especially on weekends as it is very busy.
Best 'sandwich' I have ever tasted. 'Bacon and egg roll' is soo good, with bacon egg and cheese and bbq sauce on brioche is the perfect combo 100% recommended
I can see how the concept is developing
Servings sizes are great, ikea tables not so much, felt wobbly. The outdoor garden needed a bit of work, the nursery…:) the glasshouse itself was cool the toilets were spacious. Now the part I want to emphasise is parking, guests please do not park on the front of neighbouring properties you have been warned …
A must visit brunch spot in Blue Mountain - we visit during weekdays so it’s not too busy around lunchtime. Really like the greenhouse idea and the plants and flowers inside. The food also taste good.
On our way to Capertee Valley, myself and my wife decided to stop at Sorensen Glasshouse & Gardens for lunch. After turning up 30min late for my booking the staff were kind enough to provide us with a table. The premises seems to be quite popular even though it was 1pm on a Friday afternoon. The building and its location was reminiscent of a building in Europe, most probably Scandinavia. The building itself was surrounded by pine trees and you could opt to sit outside though not recommended in winter. The menu had some unusual choices. I opted to try the slow cooked beef brisket burger and my wife savoured the Rainbow Falafel Bowl. Both were exceptional in taste and presentation. There is adequate parking on the street but discretion was advised so that the neighbouring residents were not disturbed. Dining is limited to 1 hr. Definitely a place to visit and go back to.
Nah, highly NOT recommended.
My husband and I went to this restaurant last Saturday. The staff took our order at 10: 55 for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast. We asked the staff at 11: 15 that if we could get our coffee first. And the staff who I assume that lots of customers complained about said the barista had thounds of take away to make so ours would be here soon. And then the food took even longer, the meal came to the table at 11: 35 and the capsicum was COLD. Not room temperature but cold out of fridge. The salad didn't have dressing but a lemon wedge on the top. Oh they charge $22 for the breakfast that doesn't even come with bacon which you will need to pay extra. Anyways, this restaurant is not even average so save your time and go else where.
Waited for hour and a half to get lunch and then they throw us from the café absolutely disgusting and rude people do not go there and I will never come back again
The food was average and I think quite pricey too. It’s a good place to take photos outside the glasshouse especially when they have the autumn leaves.
Very expensive food and the waitress was snobby, very over rated. Smelled musty and damp with the high humidity. Would not recommend.
Cute little cafe inside the glasshouse with a great view and nice garden out the back to walk around. Very limited menu and some items were not available. The food was delicious however it was quite expensive for its portion size.
In addition, I made a booking and the staff was unable to see it and so they hadn't prepared a table. However they found my booking after a few minutes of searching and quickly prepared a table.
All in all service was good and the staff was friendly!
Love this place. Sorensen was a famous landscape designer in the blue mountains and this gorgeous glass house pays fitting homage. Breakfasts are wonderful and coffees are top class
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Well balanced environment. Fresh and tasty food especially the smoked salmon pasta.keep up t he great work
Wonderful. Professional and friendly staff and service, thoughtful menu and peaceful surroundings.
What a pit stop!
Highly recommended, wish I lived closer.
Service was uplifting, food was brilliant.
Salad was light, fresh and zesty.the brisket burger was full of bold flavours and all this amongst a tranquil setting.
Love that this place is out of the way, away from the main part of town. Food was great, atmosphere relaxing and the staff were really friendly.
As the name suggests, it was a nice restaurant surrounded by glass. It felt like we're in a summer resort. Friendly staff. Need booking.
We had a wonderful breakfast experience at the Sorensens Glasshouse cafe. When we got inside, one of staff members welcomed us with a beautiful smile. The inside plants and products were beautifully displayed. Luckily, we went there at quiet time. We saw the staff members were constantly sweeping the floor, which showed their high standard of cleanliness. We found the food was a bit pricy as we need to add extra $ for additional toppings if you want more but it's totally worth it. Vegetables are very fresh and well grilled and they are so delicious. We also tried scones which were so soft and tasted just amazing! We will definitely go back there for another delightful breakfast experience. Highly recommended!
Happy with the overall experience. Friendly and welcoming staff eventhough its busy. Food are nice especially the trio mushroom! Its a must try. Beautiful place too!
Really tasty food (especially the falafel bowl) ans good coffee. Really cute setting and friendly service. A total gem
An amazing experience and an absolute must visit!
The place itself is ridiculously beautiful, wonderful atmosphere in the cafe overall and the gardens are gorgeous.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the food is amazing (you will never regret ordering the shakshuka) and the coffee is the best we have had in the Blue Mountains!
