Sorensens Glasshouse & Gardens reviews
46 We enjoyed everything about our lunch here. The setting is stunning, service was friendly and professional, and the food was very good. We also wanted somewhere to take our dog (golden retriever) and this was perfect under the trees.
We will be back again soon!
Nice place, ruined by people's kids running around should have rules in place if bringing obnoxious kids
A glasshouse converted in a classy coffee shop with delicious food. The garden is grand with a variety of rhododendrons and azaleas. Lots of potential.
A peaceful location to have brekky. Add-ons are a bit dear ($5 each) but the quality is present in both food and coffee. The gardens are beautful. Well worth the visit.
Very worst service. Hardly manager could receive any customers not listen to them. We went there without prior reservation (just like many others) all we were asked to roam around the garden with no clue when they will call. When we reached counter to ask if a table is free after 40 mins, answer is “you have to find your own table” Never coming back again
This unique cafe is a gem and a must if you come to Leura. The food is exquisite and the staff, especially the owner is divine and so friendly. Do yourself a favour and make a booking here when you come to Leura!
Stunning location during Autumn, and a great photo opportunity! Make sure to book as they are quite busy even on a Friday during the day.
A hidden gem, just beautiful and relaxing. Loving the scones but main are so so, a little bland for my liking. Will go back if I’m around for the scones?
Having read great reviews and seen lovely photos of this place, we were excited to visit. The building itself was underwhelming, being described as a glasshouse, expectations were for it to be a green a luscious space which it was sadly not. The food was below par. A Cole’s delivery arrived as we were eating our food which lacked passion and flavour and was pre-made. The food was bland and misrepresented, the shake hula was more of a chickpea stew. There is a real opportunity here for this place to up their game and if they do, it has potential.
Had breakfast here last week, such a pleasant place to eat. The scenery is beautiful. Will visit again.
Updated: they reached out and refunded the food we had - would be keen to try again their food next time!
What a shame… such a nice place but the food ain’t good compared to how nice the place is…. The mushroom pasta we ordered hasn’t been seasoned at all and the chicken for the burger tasted like cartilage.which was weird. Hope they will improve their food quality
My daughter surprised me with a brunch at Sorensens, I was captivated by this place. Being a plant lover it had me. The food and the service was fantastic always a bonus when you have a win in both those areas. I bought a plant from there for $20.00 it was a beautiful fushia. It can get loud inside if it is full capacity, the inside isn't huge but it's a good idea to actually book a table prior to attending. It also has a lovely garden out the back that you can wander through, it's so peaceful in the garden. They use local produce and local small businesses like with their collection if Teas so good. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Would I go back again? Absolutely.
Nah, highly NOT recommended.
My husband and I went to this restaurant last Saturday. The staff took our order at 10: 55 for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast. We asked the staff at 11: 15 that if we could get our coffee first. And the staff who I assume that lots of customers complained about said the barista had thousands of take away to make so ours would be here soon. And then the food took even longer, the meal came to the table at 11: 35 and the capsicum was COLD. Not room temperature but cold out from fridge. The salad didn't have dressing but a lemon wedge on the top. Oh they charge $22 for the breakfast that doesn't even come with bacon which you will need to pay extra. Anyways, this restaurant is not even average so save your time and go else where.
Nice cute little brunch place with seating also outside. Best to get in early because it books out quick.
I really enjoyed the falafel salad I had!
The glasshouse was a takeaway. Maximising such a view plus proper food is a treat in itself. Good customer service as well.
We didn’t realise we needed a booking but staff were very friendly and accomodating! The scenery of course was very pretty but the food was even better!
Beautiful Place and worth a visit
It’s only 1 hour visit so I are in and out!
Very small place with good coffee and food, back garden is relaxing and outdoor tables are so nice when weather is good
Do not go if u do not have a booking, parking is limited
Food was delicious. While waiting for our waffles I had to step outside as the smell of cooked bacon was a bit too much for me.
I'm surprised they don't have some sort of exhaust fan in the kitchen area.
Our table was a little wobbly and the lovely waitress fixed it straight away.
Lovely hot coffee & delicious fresh scones @ the glasshouse today.
Relax before eating by taking a strole around the pretty nursery gardens.
This place is perfect. I have been coming here since it opened. The coffee and food are always of an exceptional standard. The staff always greet you with a smile and make you feel very welcome. This is a great locally owned business.
