Something at Mary's reviews
39We had a great time learning to create our own pottery 'materpieces'. The instructor was patient, friendly and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
It was lots of fun creating 3 beautiful pieces under Marion's guidance. It was a great experience. I totally recommend it!
My sister and I had a pottery class gifted to us for our birthdays. We went today and had such a great and enjoyable experience at Something at Mary’s! The lesson was easy to follow and very interactive. I left feeling accomplished and wanting more. I think I’ll be back! Thank you for a fantastic experience!
What an absolute gem of a place! Marion is the absolute queen of pottery and was such a patient and diligent teacher. Myself and my two friends had a fabulous time in our private class and it was a day we will not soon forget. Could not recommend this place any higher!
Amazing experience! The location is superb and the teacher really knows her stuff. The lesson is very engaging. Pity I don’t live closer otherwise I would have gone more often. Definitely recommended.
Had a great day creating the breakfast set today! Came with my Mum for her birthday and we are both absolute beginners and Marion took the time to show us exactly how every step was done. Lots of fun and highly recommend, can’t wait to see how our set turns out!
Great place to learn pottery for beginners and experts alike! The instructors are extremely skilful and knowledgeable, definitely recommend.
I was given the pottery class as a birthday present by my Partner Preeti, it was a bit of a drive to get there but well worth the effort
Totally enjoyed my first experience of creating a couple of pieces of pottery
Mary’s instructions were clear and instructive and she made everyone feel at ease.
I only stuffed up a couple times but with her help and skilled hands I was soon on the right track again.
I would recommend the course to all who want to experience the feel of clay between there hands
So much fun and such an enjoyable time. A very hands on experience with such a wonderful end product that you can cherish
My friend and I had so much fun making a teapot, the teacher is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and patient. Thank you also for advice on the local area. Highly recommend.
I did an introductory pottery wheel class at "something t Mary's" with my family.we all enjoyed the class, finding it challenging and rewarding to see our pieces evolve.we were not involved in the firing or glazing process, so it was a wonderful surprise to collect our pieces a few weeks later looking complete.we are all really happy with the outcome of our creations. We use them regularly and are planning a return trip later in the year.
Bought this as a gift for my sister's birthday and she had a blast! Something different and fun and our teacher for the day was amazing. So lovely and helpful:) would definitely recommend!
Pottery at Something at Mary's was amazing! My wife and I went down there for her birthday and she loved it! The hosts are incredibly beautiful people. We thoroughly enjoyed our class, loved the pieces we were able to create and are now inspired to continue doing more!
My husband and I visited today for a beginners throwing class. We had never thrown before but managed to make 3 lovely pieces each with the fantastic guidance and assistance from our teacher T. We can’t wait to go back and learn more - what a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. We highly recommend!
Got this class as a Christmas gift. Love the area! Love the teachers! Such an investment! Great experience and learning a new skill. PLUS you get to keep your teapot! Wow!
What a wonderfully fun experience! Would definitely recommend this as an activity with friends. Learned a lot and you get something at the end to remember the memory too!
Fantastic first experience of throwing! Marion was welcoming and had some great stories to share. Would recommend travelling to for this unique experience. Intimate and hands-on!
This session is good for a team activity or for a weekend activity but not for someone who wants to learn pottery as an artist.
