My mother, 85yo grandmother and myself booked a teapot making class here. It was the most enjoyable experience. Marion and Sonja (and the pup Abby) were so warm and welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable. The group size was only 5 which was perfect.
For my grandmother with mobility issues and arthritic hands they were very accommodating and kind and we were so very grateful she could participate in the activity.
I highly recommend booking in for a class and making a day of it with cafes and the beach just around the corner.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at our Introduction to Pottery Wheel Throwing class.

Marion was a great teacher! She was very patient, and provided valuable feedback during the session to ensure we had the best experience possible. The hours flew by as we were having so much fun!

We are looking forward to seeing our finished pieces in a few weeks time.

Bought this for my partner as a birthday gift and we were lucky enough to be the only 2 in the class. Got a lot of 1 on 1 time with the instructor and left with 3 pieces each of our own!

Have been twice now for the wheel throwing class and can’t wait to go back again! Knowledgeable and supportive teachers, a fun activity to do with friends and family, and you walk away with beautiful keepsakes - I proudly use all my pieces regularly (including a “ruined” bowl which is now the best espresso cup). Can’t recommend enough!

Had a great experience with my wife for our first ever pottery class. Great guidance and help during the class. Even provided a lot of answers to our curious groups questions. The class size we attended was for 5, a nice intimate size that allowed the instructor to spend abit of time with us all. Thanks again for the wonderful day, can’t wait to see the final results in 4-6wks time.

We were a group of 7 friends and had a great afternoon hand building our pots from clay. Our teachers were very helpful and easy to follow instructions made the day run smoothly. We can’t wait to see the glazed finish when they come back. Highly recommend for a creative afternoon of fun.

We had a great wheel throwing class with Kate. We had the opportunity to create three objects which will get fired and glazed and we'll pick up later. There is space for I think five people in the class so it's a nice social activity but also intimate. It's a great experience and I enjoyed it more than I thought! Would like to do more.

I took the Introductory to Pottery Wheel Class and found it very enjoyable. This class caters well to first timers on the pottery wheel (great teachers, intimate class size, and duration of the class was enough to practise and make 3 pieces)!

Our teacher Kate was very passionate about throwing and this showed in her teaching and skill. Kate was very eager to help and gave great instruction and feedback in the class. I would definitely recommend this class to beginner throwers and would love to visit again!

Would recommend do this fun pottery activity. Great environment where not rushed, explained clearly for the 3 pieces that you made. And if like me need a lot of help to fix it

An unforgettable experience! My husband and I spent 2,5 hours at the pottery wheels for the first time in our lives. We made three amazing pieces each! They looked wonderful! Can you believe it? Marion taught us to make them! Moreover, she has an excellent sense of humour and the whole experience was a great fun. We can't wait to see how our ceramics came out.

We highly recommend the pottery classes with Marion. Escape from routine and create some masterpieces!

Something at Mary’s pottery classes are a must, I had a great time learning and chatting. Marion is such a great teacher, I’ll definitely be going back.

Great afternoon in the lovely town of Bundeena at Something at Mary’s learning the basics of pottery throwing. Such a lot of fun, satisfying to make some pots and such good learning. Mary is a wonderful teacher and a great host.

A fantastic pottery experience for us as beginners! Very welcoming, accommodating and helpful from our initial inquiries right through to the end products. The class was delivered in a clear and positive manner, where students were able to confidently develop their pottery skills in an encouraging environment. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for a quality pottery class experience!

Something at Mary’s is the perfect way to relax and treat yourself and friends or family to a great day. The explanation given by Mary is simple so that anyone can understand. I’ve never done pottery before but she made us forget that it’s was our first time. I highly recommend Mary’s to anyone!
